PBR, I saw the ESPN piece this weekend on Penn St and Paterno et all....

WTF is goin on up there?  Something like 75 criminal charges total against players in a multi-year period and Paterno and the Penn St. prez just shake it off?

Man, people would not stand for that crap in liberalachusetts......

flat out some hilarious stuff!! pbr's friends at the banks have told him how doods will literally sit in a bathroom stall for 6 hours during their desks layoffs so the hatchet man's secretary cant find him to lead him to the firing line...only prolonged the agony a day or two the secretary was in at 6a.m. waiting for him on the ground floor in the lobby

unforunately espn has turned into a rag that believes their own hype and would rather see their own sportscenter highlights than a real game....unfortunately good investigative reporting has gone away and its all about hype/drama/sensationalism that sells...unfortunately joe looked horrible, he kept calling it a witch hunt and wouldnt answer anything. pbr hates seeing a great man's legacy tarnished by staying too long hence why pbr called for him to step down now for 2 years. But espn also edited the story horribly against psu. for example interviewing 2 guys whose apartment several team members busted into.....well these 2 knuckleheads walked up to starting safety anthony scirotto and his girlfriend on the street drunk as skunks, 1 dood punches scirotto's gf for no reason. scirotto pulls out his cell fon to call police other dood knocks the fon out of his hand. first guy gets off his gf and they 2 on 1 scirotto and then run away when scirotto gets to his feet. this was all sworn testimony by people standing there watching this go down. scirotto angry they busted up his gf for no reason see's where they run into and hide so he doesnt want to walk a ambush so he calls his friends (several teammates) who knock on the door and push their way in a small scuffle ensues. police break it up. espn never mentioned what the 2 chowderheads did to provoke the situation only how the big bad football players busted down the door and beat everyone up....80% of charges brought against football players have been dropped as the d.a. up there has been chastised by judges for bringing numerous frivilious charges against players...still though in pbr's opinion its time for a great coach and man to step down and let someone else run the ship...

PBR, Im not saying I dont believe you but can we get the police report on this somehow?  Sometimes when charges are "dropped", it only means that the DA agrees to dismiss charges in order to for the defendant to plead guilty on other charges and save that person a trial.

I felt kind of bad for Paterno who probably only sees the good side of these kids, and I also dont agree with the way ESPN drilled him.  Im not saying he gets a free pass, but the AD should have been asked these questions, not a 80 year old legend, even though he has lost touch with a lot of things.

sad in both cases espn obviously had an agenda and joe handled it horribly and really needs to step aside. joe had a huge falling out w/ the press years ago and decided to thumb his nose at them and now the chickens are coming home to roost....

JU heard bazeball rumor running hot in philly..... manny ramirez for pat burrell any truth or rumors of the like up in beantown? evidently manny and charlie manuel (elmer fudd) are very close and manny has said he would like to come to philly

Funny stuff.

JT had to cross one thing off his "Things to do before JT dies" before it was accomplished:

Smack the ish out of a NYC meter maid/dood

Sadly, it became a felony last week instead a simple misdemeanor.  Now these azzholes will be even bigger jerks.

Why do dummies take on athletes?  They are big and strong for a reason and they usually have many loyal teammates.  How many times do you read that some dood messed with a Pro athlete in a bar and got F'ed up.

Some of the craziest doods under the helmet are the nicest guys off the field, until you screw with them.

So, let me get this straight, you beat up a meter maid JT?  Now the cops are booking it as a felony?

Unbelievable.

Pat Coleman

I read this as JT wanted to slap a meter maid when it was just a misdemeanor but now that it's a felony he'll have to cross it off his bucket list.

Now that I re-read it like that, it makes perfect sense.  Thanks for clearing this up.

PBR,

That could possibly be a win win situation for Boston and Philly, but I like Burrell late in the season.  Manny, well it's hard not to like the guy in all seasons.  He keeps it light, and you can't fault him for getting a good hit at the wrong time as the Press did two days ago.  A hit too late is different than a hit at the wrong time.  Burrell I'm not a big fan of coming out of spring training, especially when it's been a cold spring as he seems to have a little hitch in his giddy up until the rust is knocked off.

As for JoePa, keep eating antipasto, prosciutto and pepperoni when they interview you boss guy.  Undoubtedly, several of the older coaches are moving from the micromanage to the delegation function, but enjoy Coach Paterno and Coach Bowden bracket racing for the BCS all time.
