Let's not fool ourselves over 'the big 3' and changing the leagues.  I believe, for scheduling purposes, RPI would be MORE than happy to have Union and Hobart leave the LL.  Why should they have 2 tough games on their schedule when they can have ZERO?

Jason Bay is Canadian...Blame Canada for all of this!

When in doubt always blame Canada.  +K

Manny's a dodger, the sox also give up Hanson and Brandon Moss, they pick up Jason bay...

.............and paying the $7 million remaining on the jackazzes contract.....seems like the Red Sox were determined to rid themselves of #24.

#24 will always belong to Dewey to this Sox fan.  But, Manny's given the Sox some great years.  Sorry to see him go on one hand, but it was time.

Interested to see if Bay can keep his numbers up vs. AL pitching, dealing the Boston fans and media, and getting used to playing at the fens.

At least now TGP will only have to drive a couple miles to Chavez to see Manny play vs. schlepping down the 5 to get to A-town.

Hopefully the Sox can move on.  Still a lot of beisbol (53 games) to be played.

Anyone ever check out that direct buy club from the infomercial?  JT did.  What a scam.  High pressure sales tactics.  $5,000 up from fee just for the right to buy home furnishings wholesale.  Plus you have to pay for any shipping.

Forget it.  Unless you are fixing up the entire house or multiple houses, it ain't worth it.  JT will just do his homework, and still get great prices on stuff.

KS went to the chinese restaraunt/bar around the corner and drank a bunch of ML's last night but only paid for 3.  One of the ladies who works for the housekeeping dept at NJCU tends bar there and always throws a lot of free drinks to KS and MKS.

JT- you are exactly right.  In fact, so many people have been "taken" by them that there is a website out there warning you.

JT was thinking that it was like Sam's Club for furnishings.  Maybe a membership of $50-$100 per year.  JT figured Direct Buy made money on a small membership fee and got a commission on sales from the manufacturers.  That sounded like reasonable business model.

JT got a mailer for a $50 gift certificate to the Outback in order to sit the presentation.  JT is in the market for various furnishings, so why not.  In the end, when JT said no, they didn't want to give me the $50.

JT said OK, took out the mailer, and said that's fine I'll get you for mail fraud instead.   Got the $50.  Imagine how many people left empty handed.

Ive seen those wholesale furniture ads with the husband and wife with the nice rack.  I always assumed there was some sort of scam there.  I would think you would only use something like that if you just bought a summerhouse that wasnt furnished and you wanted a quick deal done.  Either way there are better ways to go....
