KS job is hiring a new Admin assistant and someone new for shipping.  KS gets to review the resumes as they come in and weed out the special ones.

KS is amazed at some of the things coming in for these positions.

Let me add my comments.
- candidate # 2 and RT hung out yesterday by the pool and had lunch. I wanted to blow the day off, so I called the one person I know wouldn't be working to hang with me
She is great to talk to (and looks phenominal in a bikini) and she has some potential. Pretty much a standard response for someone that can hang and not annoy/bore you to death
However, it's the classic story...hot teenage girl from rough zip code Uhhh,(Schenectady) goes to Catholic high school and starts making the scene due to her natural hotness. You know, running around naked puking in old dudes garages, etc. Hangs w/ bad boys who drive IROCs and treat her like crap.Of course they treat her like crap...she is 15, they are 27.. She goes to community college then drops out Obviously a great effort put in on that oneand moves to florida w/ her girlfriend and gets into the bartending scene. She went to enough after parties and "talked" to enough bar owners that they finally gave her a job Moves back to NY and becomes further entrenched in bartending scene and dating dudes that own tanning salons and landscaping businesses Obviously she knows how to pick real winners(or as they like to call themselves, 'contractors'). She finishes college but doesnt really venture far from the bar gig.Very few people would leav a job paying $40k a year to one that pays $20k working more hours....plus what chump wants to work 8am-5pm...why not work 9pm-5am....you can hang out with the other bar people during normal business hours and tan #2 and RT hit it off but lingering "guy friends" and ex's always seem to be lurkingAhhhh, normal guys don't lurk after a relationship.....normal guys don't call, further investigation is needed.....Reg would snag her celly while she is sleeping.....which is near impossible because she probably sleeps with it with her kung-foo grip...especially via the late night drunk text or phone call to the cell. #2 claims that when in a relationship, she is totally focused and wants to meet the right guy and move on to the next phase of her life.READ: SUGA DADDY
# 2  Pros:  - augmentation
                 - fun to chill, hang out with
                 - RT can be himself and she seems to blend into a crowd welluntil you attend a work event and she has your peers taking body shots out of her belly button

Cons:  - "best friend" is a guy (whom see was off and on with as a partner)
                   - career is tied to bar scene at the moment (con in RT's book)
                   - not sure how to put this except to say 'grew up fast'...good candidate to star in a Motley Crue
                   videoDon't worry, noone else notices......heeeeeeeeey

How's the draft coming fellas

brutal for pbr....kids running in and out couldnt concentrate what so ever....gro and ld had solid drafts...pbr will be working the trade/waiver wire tirelessly all season to repeat as champ

They have Roddy White & Ernest Graham as starters......look at their teams and don't think they are good because LD and Gro say they are good......I don't like either.

Team Fogell:
Round 1 - LT - No need for comment
Round 2 - Brandon Jacobs - Should not have been available at pick 24.  A steal.
Round 3 - Jamal Lewis - Sam as above, pick 25, he will have a huge year.
Round 4 - Calvin Johnson - He's nasty.  Top receiver in Detroit.  They will throw a ton.  Kitna is nasty.
Round 5 - Antonio Gates - Like have another wideout and I got the best TE available.
Round 6 - Marc Bulger - Waiting around til Round 6 and still scoring Bulger...Amazing
Round 7 - San Diego - Possibly my only rough pick, but again it was based on needing a defense, taking the top ranked defense, before Merriman injury was announced.
Round 8 - Felix Jones - Look out for this guy.  We get points for receptions and he's lightning quick.  Whoever has Marian Barber will hate me this year.
Round 8 - Roddy White - Number 1 wideout in ATL
Round 9 - Jerry Porter - Number 1 wideout in JAX
Round 10 - Justin Fargas - If McFadden gets hurt or isn't the end all be all, Farga proved last year that he is nasty.

Didn't even make my own picks after that.  No need.  Season over.  U89, eat it.

I know U89 is trying to ruffle some feathers, and I know I should just wait until the seasone xplains itself, but, i'm gonna do it anyway:

The fantasy wrap up - Chappy Sinclair

Rd1 - Westbrook - when catches count, he's the man
Rd2 - TJ Housh - the real #1 in Cincy
Rd3 - Ernest Graham - another pass catching RB
Rd4 - Anquan Boldin - he's good.
Rd5 - Jason Witten - Thank you LD for picking Gates first, fool!
Rd6 - DeAngelo Williams - meh, needed another RB
Rd7 - Matt Hasselback - waited too long for a QB, but he'll do
Rd8 - Chester Taylor - for when AP gets hurt
Rd9 - Joey Galloway - bye week fill in for TJ/Boldin
Rd10 - Kenny Watson -  a reach, may end up starting in Cincy

these guys should hold me down until I make a lopsided trade with KSmonkeyspankers in mid season.

JT

JT's draft wrap up, for computer picks not too shabby:

1.     (3)     Adrian Peterson - RB  He was here at No. 3, you take him.  Nuff said.
2.    (22)    Larry Fitzgerald - WR Second coming of Chris Carter
3.    (27)    Marques Colston - WR  Had him ranked as the 8th pick of the second round
4.    (46)    Thomas Jones - RB  Last year, he ran for 1,100 behind a crappy o-line and a QB that couldn't break glass with the football.  Had him rated as the 8th pick of the 3rd round.

5.    (51)    Santonio Holmes - WR - Gonna see a lot of action as Pitts No. 2 guy.  Had him rated as the 9 pick of the third round

6.    (70)    Chris Cooley - TE Ranked a little lower than this spot, but the Yahoo system was plugging in a
TE

7.    (75)    Brett Favre - QB  Picked about where I had him ranked.  JT thinks he'll put up good numbers.
8.    (94)    Chicago    DEF - Needed a defense.  Not a bad one take.  Only problem is their offense still sucks.
9.    (99)    Adam Vinatieri    K Picked a little higher than I wanted.  Yahoo was probably filling the K slot.  Still not a bad choice.  JT probably would have gone RB in person.

10.    (118)    Santana Moss - WR  Washington sucks, but Moss will still up the numbers.  A steal at 10 when I had him a high 7th rounder

11.    (123)    Anthony Gonzalez - WR Colts #3 WR.  Will get enough balls to make him worthwhile bench guy.  Has him ranked at low 7th rounder.
12.    (142)    Philip Rivers    QB - Not a bad Favre back up
13.    (147)    Jerious Norwood  - RB No 2 guy in ATL will share touches with No. 1

superman57

Superman's draft
1) Steven Jackson- A good pick not one I would of made if it was actually me picking because I worry about backs that hold out...
2) Andre Johnson-This guy is amazing and should put up good numbers
3)Tony Romo- I like Romo to put up good numbers in the Dallas Offense
4)Lee Evans- Is the Bills best target should put up good numbers
5) Kellen Winslow- If this offense is anything like last years KW will put up great TE numbers
6)Jonathon Stewart- This kid was a beast at Oregon, I am hoping that he can be this years Adrian Peterson
7) Aaron Rodgers- Brett Favre was taken...
8)Deuce McAllister- If he is healthy he could be huge numbers as a compliment in that offense
9) Dallas D- They have the ability to be great...and Pacman baby..
10) Stephen Gostkowski-he's a kicker
11) Donte Stallworth-he put up decent numbers as a second option in NE, hopefully he can do it again...
12 Greg Olsen-well I needed a back up TE
13) Kris Brown- He can kick a ball
14) James Hardy- Should be a nice bye week WR and I think he might be a hot commodity
15) Jets Defense-I think the improved the d.. and you always need two Defenses....

Quotethat dude is insanely fast.  if he could catch (and take a hit), he'd be a first round nfl draft pick.

TGP would just have him run post patterns all game.

Peter King talked about this on the Dan Patrick show on Monday.  There have been other Olympic speedsters (Bob Hayes, Willie Gault, James Jett) whose speed translated to the NFL.  The Raiders were a common place for guys like that to get a trial run.  King pointed out that Bolt is pretty thin, though.

First round pick?  How about the best player in the history of the NFL.

I read that based on his 100m time, he would have run the 40 somewhere between 3.2 - 3.5 and at one point in the 100 he hit 30 mph.

For comparison, I am fairly certain that Joey Galloway still holds the NFL Combine record in the 40 at 4.2.  This dude is almost a full second faster.

Truly blazing speed

(Unlike others who may have been mentioned on LLPP before.)

Rolevio

For completeness, Rol's draft picks:

1.   Clinton Portis:  Not all too happy with this pick, but he was the best RB available
2.    Terrell Owens: All the top RBs were gone and the top 2 QBs, so went with the best WR left.  Not too sure if I am happy with the pick yet.
3.    Wes Welker:  With points for receptions he should put up solid numbers.
4.    Willie Parker:  Good second option for RB, and a steal in the 4th round.
5.    Ben Roethlisberger:  Should be pretty consistent
6.    Tony Gonzalez: Despite his age, expect him to be above average still.
7.    Selvin Young:  Just needed a bye week replacement and he was the highest ranked available.
8.    Dwayne Bowe : Bye week replacement who had some good weeks last year
9.    Jacksonville:    A defense
10.    Jon Kitna:  Good second option for QB, may be better than Roethlisberger.
11.    Warrick Dunn:  With this pick and after I really just stopped caring.
12.    Nate Kaeding: Kicker on a good offense
13.    Devin Hester
14.    Reggie Brown
15.    Desmond Clark

Not all that happy, but could of been worse.

Lewdogg, your #1 pick has been working hard in the offseason

Train like LT

Reno Hightower

Reno's analysys.....Iron Chefs of Vag

1. (6) Tom Brady- he wont be as good as last year but will put up as many if not more points that the top 5 RB's

2. (19) Braylon Edwards- Best player available  and expect a monster year
3. (30) Chad Johnson  - Get your popcorn ready, his grandmother told him to get his butt to camp. I got thirsty and after this pick and had a stand-in for my next pick....

4. (43) Plaxico Burress- Matt Millen selected my  3rd strait WR for me....thanks Matt! In all honesty-was completely disgusted with the RBs that were left

5. (54) Rudi Johnson -was thinking a rebound year was in order then found out hes injured. worst pick of the night for the chefs

6. (67) Kevin Smith- will be the #1 rb and there was few available at this point

7. (78) Heath Miller- Big Ben loves him in the red zone

8. (91) Minnesota- great defense gets better with the addition of Jared Allen

9. (102) Fred Taylor- major flyer, just needed a rb and though doubtful he can muster it up on emore time, with the 102nd pick it was worth the roll of the dice since rbs were desperately needed

10. (115) Bernard Berrian - this guy is always hyped as the answer to whatever team he is on....what is the question?

11. (126) Alge Crumpler- I think VY is going to throw to this guy a ton

12. (139) Jabar Gaffney- replaces Stallworth as the "#2"  in NE, blah pick

13. (150) Jason Campbell-backup qb needed

14. (163) Detroit-this d puts up a surprising # of fantasy pts

15. (174) Shaun Suisham- kickers should just be eliminated from fantasy football

That is nasty.  Obviously a switch of the blender.  Reminds JT of a teen JT when teen JT did his Rocky impersonation at Xmas time in front of an Uncle before a morning run.  6 raw eggs in a glass slammed by JT... said Uncle lost his breffast.  Classic.
