Bonus cut for KS that is also very timely:

Can someone here explain this unknown (to me anyway) LL football tradition?

If it has anything to do with a win for SLU, you most likely don't know about it because it does not happen often.

but look at the hit the RPI running back puts on the LB in the play that starts at 1:17 of that video!
Oh man, you can tell that was a d-back that got ran over. No self respecting LB gets bowled over in the open field.  EDIT: missed tackle, sometime acceptable, but never get bowled over...

Im also impressed with the RPIs linebacking core.  Looks like theyve gotten their act together since those pre 2001 years....

PBR...

paging mr. regulator....paging mr. regulator.....

To whom it may concern,

Pls excuse regulator from said meeting today as the LLPP needs him to kick off a new product launch. Unfortunately we cannot disclose the product at this juncture as it is strictly on a need to know basis and the LLPP has decided you dont need to know. We can however hint at some of the products it will involve....1) Meeting w/ the Perdue family  (2) Meeting w/ the town of buffalo about exporting products (3) Meeting w/ the Ruck family and interstate commerce (4) Most important a meeting w/ the Miller family to discuss heat exchangers and farm products i.e. barley, hops etc...So without further delay pls excuse regulator as he helps the LLPP launch this all new important endeavor... Sincerely LLPP a.k.a. Mgmt

Feel free to head to the barn amigos, its friday and the drinking lamp is lit...

p.s. mreg pls let reg come out and play as the LLPP misses his bouncing dollar bills off peoples heads

Part/most of the NEFC issue is lack of full-time coaches and institutional lack of commitment to the program. There are some part-time HEAD coaches in that league, whereas at most schools in Division III there are at least three coaches that are full-time on campus. (Not necessarily full-time football but full-time at the school, which makes them far more available for student-athletes, etc.)

Many NEFC football programs are understaffed compared to the D-III average.

Thats true too.  Curry has 3 fulltime coaches (at least) and have built a decent program and recruiting base in the Boston area.  The head coach now (Bandini) is very active in local clinics and camps for MA high school students.  They also have an IC grad as their DC which is probably 99% of the reason they are good.

RPI / UR Webcast

http://www.rochester.edu/athletics/webcast/

14-13 UR leads at halftime

RPI was down in the redzone at the end of the half but couldn't put it in.  Offense looks kind of bland, UR is playing man and no one could get open.  Halftime adjustments will be necessary.

Another crapalicious start for the Dutchmen, down 7-0 early.  Gave up 70 yards passing on WPI's opening drive.

Sweet, the Dutchmen coming roaring back and put up two quick TDs.  Of course, second PAT missed, grrrr.  13-7.
