Toss Trinity, obviously... I'm a little surprised that SJF is being placed 9th for eligible playoff teams.  Hartwick beat them and has an equivalent regional record (and superior W/L record).  I mean, WPI has one loss (5-1)... Montclair seems to be somewhat stronger... This poll is pretty fugly.

These may be teams that have declared eligibility for the ECAC postseason.  Or possibly the people doing this for the ECAC think a 3-3 Fisher team is better than some of the other teams with better records.

E8 board only 11 posts behind LL.

50 posts last week on the E8 board quoting the Simpsons.

Oh yeah, but the Liberty League is a paragon of on-topic conversation. :)

Touché

I must say, I'm often amazed to see your posts on the LL board.  You must have quite a set of hip waders. . . . and even then, I still wonder:  I mean, if I have a great set of hip waders, am I going to want to use them in The upper Snake River, or in Love Canal?

dont be takin' a cheap shot 'round here...

I don't think it's a cheap shot to confirm the Poohbah's observation that it can get pretty deep 'round here.

(Apologies to residents of the Love Canal area - perhaps I should have selected one of the NJ EPA Superfund cleanup sites for my analogy--or maybe somewhere else in the developing world.   :D )

just not sure why you need to head to the LLPP to talk about how number of posting pages and then answer your own statement and have a conversation w/ yourself... but whatever floats your boat, its kinda like....

pbr concurs w/ other llpp'rs that poll seems a little "odd" or bogus... its seeing polls like this that realize how much more accurate and thought goes into the d3's polls...

This is an old school poll that always baffles.  It seems to rank which teams are the best versus which teams deserve to be ranked higher.

Huh? Aren't the best teams the ones that deserve to be ranked higher?

No, its like Applachian St and Michigan last year.

-I thought Michigan was the better team but lost on that given day.  If you had ranked teams that next week, and App. St was actually d1, Michigan would have still been ranked higher, even though they might not have deserved to be ranked higher.  Michigan was the better team, App St upset them, and Michigan should still be ranked higher in the polls.

That is why SJF and not Hartwick is ranked in this poll I assume.  People thought SJF had a bad day.

So you think Hartwick is better than Ithaca?

Pat Coleman

Take off the Ithaca hat for a second and try to objectively rank the three teams that all beat each other. Please show your work. Thanks. :)

Or 3 bad days, since the Lambert poll is using overall W/L, not regional.
