JT

Anyone just see that NFL commercial.  JT didn't catch the name of the receiver as he was looking at his laptop, but the WR in shorts and t-shirt was stand with his back to three guys about 30 yards away:

1) The WR looks behind to his right and grabs a thrown ball from one of the guys with just his right hand

2) He repeats the exact same feat on his left side with just his left hand

3) Then he looks over his left should and "catches" the third ball between the other footballs in his hands.

JT is guesses there wasn't any cgi magic involved, making that 30 seconds just about the sickest thing he's seen athletically in a while.

They are all fake, but very well done.  Search for "NFL Fantasy File" on youtube.

This week on "In the HuddLLe," it's DUTCHMAN SHOES WEEK!

We'll have a review of this weekend's action in the Liberty League at the start of the show, but then we're dedicating the rest of the show (starting at around 8pm EDT) to the big showdown between Union and RPI next Saturday at '86 Field.  The game is a potential elimination game for Union, while RPI needs the win to keep its undefeated hopes alive.

Joining us will be:

- RPI Head Coach Joe King, who is in his 20th season as RPI Head Coach with a winning percentage of just over 73% in that time;

- Union Senior Offensive Lineman Tony Morello, who has helped spark the Dutchmen's return to the .500 mark with big holes in the line for Tailback Chris Coney;

- Union Head Coach John Audino, who is in his 17th season as Union Head Coach with a winning percentage also of just over 73% in that time; and

- RPI Senior Defensive Lineman Nick Casale, who has seen his share of Dutchmen Shoes games and who has had a strong 2008 season for the Engineers.

We hope you can join hosts Frank Rossi and Eric Ren as we kick off "Shoes Week" this Sunday night at 7:30pm EDT LIVE at http://blogtalkradio.com/LLRecap.  You can interact with your questions throughout the broadcast!  Please join us Sunday night!

The show is live in 15 minutes.  We'll be joined after "Around the League" by Rusty Eggen, Sports Information Director of WPI, to discuss the big WPI/Hobart elimination game next Saturday.  Tune us in at http://blogtalkradio.com/LLRecap and ask questions!

13. LIBERTY LEAGUE (LL)
Kickoff '08 ranking: 13th
Non-conference record so far: 10-10
Verdict: In the middle of the 27 ranked conferences, LL is .500 against modest competition so far. Hobart's win over Carnegie Mellon kept the LL in front of the UAA.

....RT dying to see if RPI is one of the 12 or more left standing

There's not really a one-to-one correlation there, but OK.

This is equivalent to telling JT there's no Santa Clause or Easter Bunny.  JT is usually out of touch on the   outside the game NFL stuff lately.  He never thought he'd settle down with a non-football female.

Everything else works, but she was certainly scamming JT on the football interest before the ring.  JT's revenge will be turning all resulting kids into diehard football fans.

Finally doing the deed on Nov 21st in Hawaii marriage wise.  Gonna have a big party/reception in Dirty Jersey at some point.

A very good piece about securitization for anyone interested:  http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601109&sid=a0jln3.CSS6c&refer=home

Its funny that they bring up the asset liability mismatch.  Everyone was so hungry for yield (a byprodcut of mispriced risk) that they were taking funding/rollover risk on untested (relatively) assets and asset classes.

I'm not sure why everyone is so shocked by the situation.  Granted the severity was hard to imagine, but the yield curve inverted in late 2006 and stayed there for more than a year.  That's a historic recession sign and people brought that up, but when it didn't happen after the first 3 - 4 months out came the this time its different" comments (not dissimilar to "New Economy/Old Econo"my paradigm change in 1999).

In the HuddLLe tried to stump the stinger last night, asking coach King about RPI's schedule.  Looks like Endicott/Utica will continue on for a while, what did you think of his answer Counselor Rossi?

Any written record of the convo?  No time to listen right now.
