North-Atlantic?  WTF?

Yet another reason for TGP to hope and pray that Hobart call pull off the upset this weekend ($100 bucks says that the 2 voters that picked Hobart by less than 7 in the poll above are TGP and the Rev).

Fans at the 2008 ECAC North Atlantic Bowl site eagerly awaiting the result of the Hobart-RPI game:

will there be any of this by the Rev and TGP if 'Bart doesn't put together a complete game??

In a word - yes.

To quote Coach Cragg:

"Earlier, I would have said we're going to have a real tough time with RPI. Now, we have a shot," Cragg concluded. "We've gone down there and won before. I don't have any problem thinking we can go down there and beat them on their field."

BTW - last time RPI beat Bart on '86 was back in 2001 (in the UCAA dayz) by a score of 35-29.

The Pumpkinheads won at '86 Field in 2003, UCAA's swan song.  Knocked RPI from their lofty no. 25 perch in the d3football.com poll, and jeopardized their chances for an invitation to the tournament where they reached the semifinals.

Personally, I would rather see a Wick-Fisher rematch... hell lets make this a "cage" match, loser leaves town...

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

You know what that means, it's time for another Miracle on '86 Field
QuoteTrailing 29-21 midway through the fourth quarter, RPI put together a 13-play, 75-yard drive, capped by a 1-yard plunge by sophomore quarterback Dan Cole. The two-point conversion failed and the Statesmen led, 29-27, with 4:55 remaining in the fourth quarter. After holding Hobart to just two yards on the next series, the Engineers got the ball back on a punt with 2:57 showing on the clock.

Starting at their own 15-yard line, the Engineers went 71 yards on five plays, including a juggling 56-yard catch by Evan Cochran, to set up first-and-10 from the Hobart 14-yard line. The Statesmen forced three incomplete passes and a Rensselaer field goal attempt. The visitors surged the line and blocked the attempt, but RPI’s holder, sophomore Mike Defilippi, picked up the ball and outran the Hobart players to the corner of the end zone for the go-ahead touchdown with 1:56 remaining. A two-point conversion made the score 35-29 and senior defensive back Chris Speck ended Hobart’s final drive with an interception with 51 seconds left.
