ECAC Northeast/Northwest Teams One Game Below .500 or Better, cross-referenced with teams that have declared denoted by a '*' (as of Tuesday at 4pm):

                 Conf Div
School           W-L  W-L
-------------------------
RPI              5-0  7-0 * A
Husson           0-0  6-0 * (B)
Curry            5-1  8-1
Plymouth State   6-0  7-1 * A
Ithaca           4-1  7-1   A
Hobart           4-1  6-1   (A)

A - Team leads for Pool A bid in their conference
(A) - Team still has reasonable Pool A chance
(B) - Team still has reasonable Pool B chance

Notes:  At most, only five, or at least, four of these teams will be NCAA Playoff participants.  Deadline for on-time filing is Thursday at 4pm.  Deadline for late filing (for $500 penalty) is next Friday at 4pm.  Cortland, Brockport and Buffalo St. are now part of the ECAC southern region by nature of their NJAC affiliation.

The Rev hates to state the obvious, but sometimes feels he must for the sake of clarity.  If a school files to play in the ECACs, that mean it cannot participate in the NCAA tournament and vice versa, correct?  If so, The Rev thinks Hobart should hold out on filing the ECAC until after the RPI game in the event that the Statesmen pull off an upset.  What's $500 to a school where the tuition is nearing $40K?  If Hobart loses to RPI, it seems to The Rev that a pool C is out of the question, thus ECAC would be the way to go.

That is incorrect Rev.  The ECACs automatically eliminate teams selected by the NCAAs.

Thanks, Frank.  The Rev knew that schools could do one or the other, but wasn't sure about the method for elimination of one from the other.  Thanks for the clarification.

Frank - thought you said a couple days ago that Hobart declared for the North Atlantic ECAC?  If so, why no *?

First, realize the location distinctions are meaningless except for the "North" part -- Northwest, Northeast and North Atlantic are only the names of the three North-based ECAC Bowls.  They will place teams regardless of the exact one for which they signed up.

Second, the missing star was an oversight on my part.  They are declared for the North ECAC Bowls.  I will post the corrected and updated list tomorrow.  Sowwy.

Pep thinks JU will end up sharing his wealth with the federal government, which will then be redistributed to Pep.  ;)

So, yes, if you fall into that category, please place your hands out.
