Thats it, we are going to need a steel-cage/tag-team match at the end of this summer:

U "the cougar hunter"89 and Al "the legend" Bagnoli

              VS

Frank "the calculator" Rossi and John "Rudy's backup" Audino

I have no problem's whatsoever with Coach Audino......Frank, who is a visable representative of the College talking about the administration the way he does is what I have a problem with.....

This just in:  The St. Louis Rams are petitioning to move to DIII.  They feel they can compete for a championship at this level with a little practice.

God I'm starting to wish I paid their ransom for the NFL package so I wasn't stuck watching Jets games all year (not a Giants fan either).

Maybe the Rams can compete with Notre Dame for the open spot in the E8?  I went to the BC/ND game last night and I would be pissed if I were an ND fan.  The offensive gameplan was horrible the entire game for the Irish.  Unless the coaches know that Clausen is that bad, it seemed like 90% of NDs passes were 4 yard outs.  Even when they were down 17 with 6 minutes left.  ND probably wasted 4 minutes in the 4th quarter throwing 4 yard out patterns down 17.  I couldnt beleive it.

I dont think Clausen or Wiess are as good as everyone thought they were...

Clausen's mechanics are horrible, his throws are always off target...

That's why I preferred T Tech's a** whupping to that game.  I generally root for ND (after Tennessee and Cal) for reasons I can't explain, but ever since I heard the story about Clausen showing up for a press conference in HS pimping his state champ rings, I've pretty much been of the opinion that I can't support them until he's gone.

I don't know if its significant, but they lost one of their TE's who got arrested a couple of times for drinking infractions (one was a DUI the other was a raid or something) by the name of Yeatman.  He was a lacrosse stud too and supposedly NFL caliber.

Seriously, STL got picked, the Jets scored a TD to go up 37 - 0, STL fumbles the ensuing KO return and Feely kicks a 55 yard FG to go up 40 - 0 at the HALF!

I think I might just put on Cocktail and Leaving Las Vegas and reminisce about the crush I had on Elizabeth Shue when I was in HS and college (also the one with Woody Harrelson con artist movie has a great scene with her).

Didn't Clausen also dress up like a pimp and take a limo to his press conference when he signed with ND?

First of all, what a great last game at '86 and hats off to Hobart.  They found a way to win.  I have only 3 years of watching games at RPI but it was as loud and exciting as any game I have been to there.

You can debate the schemes and play calling on both sides but it is what it is.  Hobart made a few more big plays than the Engineers yesterday.

As an RPI fan it is really disheartening to lose a game like that because I do think they had every opportunity to win.  They had plenty of short fields but couldn't put a drive together or come up with the big catch/throw to turn the game in their favor.  Tremendous game by the D.

Again my congrats to Hobart.. As one of the RPI parents said to me yesterday.. "payback for last year is a bitch"

But the season continues for hopefully more games than next week and RPI has nothing to be ashamed of.  Let's see what unfolds after next week.

Should've been a sign to have a backup plan at QB for ND.

Most of RPI's passing was downfield, past the LB's... didn't see them trying to play mis matches in the short passing game.

so is that a tie between Frank and U89?

and a W for Reno

I didn't realize I held such a position.  Where's my paycheck and my 1099 for these services?  Oh, by the way, should I dig back for your digs at Audino?

Anyway, I am a representative of the Division 3 football community and a self-directed promoter Union's student-athletes, especially those on the football field.  If I wanted to undercut certain aspects of the school, trust me -- I would be able to.  I think when you contribute over $5,000 a year and hundreds of hours to a cause, you want to make sure it's being handled with respect and professionalism.  If the way I've been treated by you and your good friend over the last two years is any indication of how much respect and professionalism is being bestowed upon the school's teams (maybe excluding men's and women's ice hockey), then I'm honestly horrified at the state of things.

However, that's an issue that I will be dealing with after I hold up my promise to broadcast the away games this year in an effort to transition things back to the student station.  That is unless you see fit to keep challenging me or baiting me on here.  I will defend myself since nobody else can -- I understand why not and I'm fine with that.  I'm not scared because I'm the one that's not operating out of self-interest here.  You should try that sometime.

By the way '89, my phone hasn't rung yet since I gave you my number -- talk about needing to grow a pair...

The Rev has greeted the news of Hobart's victory with hitherto unknown restraint.  The Rev is already looking to Rochester to spoil our season for us.  Rochester always plays the spoiler.

The Rev has determined that he is indeed a jinx for the Statesmen.  Look at the last four years in which The Rev went out of his way to attend an important game, and poisoned the Statesmen with his presence:

2005 Hobart - Union @ Union.  Union went on to be LL champs.
2006 Hobart - Union @ The Boz.  Hobart's only loss in regular season.
2007 Hobart - RPI @ The Boz.  Hobart's only LL loss.
2008 Hobart - Union @ The Boz. Hobart's only loss of the season.

With this track record, The Rev is swearing off attending Hobart games.  In fact, the Rev has even given up listening to The Statesmen on WEOS, because last time he did, Hobart lost their lead to Carnegie-Mellon.  The Rev turned the game off and Hobart came back to win it.

The Rev's dad wrote to The Rev to say that he will no lonegr attend Hobart games with The Rev (perhaps Pop thinks he's the jinx.)

The good new for all of you non-Hobart fans, The Rev is a step and a half away from moving back to Geneva, NY.  When that day comes, you can all look forward to Hobart going 3-7 like we did when the Rev was in school.

Come on Rev.  Keep your hopes up! Lets hope for that possibility that Hobart might have a game with Ithaca in this years playoffs!
