U89: "As a Union fan I don't really want that game"

Touchdown Tommy

U89 aka Mr. Cougar---

Thanks for playing this week in the LLPPFFL.  It was TDT's pleasure to serve up an absolute beatdown.  Ho hum just another week of dominance for the Muff Diver...

BTW: I am taking you in a landslide for the cagematch with Frank Rossi.  The lawyer-speak doesn't fly in the steel cage.  Plus it is TDT's distinct opinion that Frank is always looking to argue with somebody (Oh and TDT likes your style, long live the Republicans of the LLPP)...

Chasing MILFs since '82...

Morrisville is actually a conference game for Montclair.  The NJAC only has one OOC game and in this case it was Wilkes.

That's right thanks for the correction! I still think most years Wilkes could beat Endicott and Utica combined. Well not really but you get my point. I must say though I think Utica gets hammered in this whole RPI SOS discussion. They are an up and coming program that I feel will improve and grow. Yet when it comes to them as a strength team on RPI's schedule they just fall into question.

I think U89 is cool and clearly anyone who played for Bagnoli could handle a Lawyer in a steel cage match (no offense Frank but this is a bit funny). **** U89 sent me my first personal message, man one doesn't forget that ****!

How does, "As a Union fan, I don't really want that game" equate in your mind to to, U89 thinks the game would be a slap in the face to Union??  Brutal interpretation by you....

As with any decision in life, you have to look at the upside and downside of that decision before making a choice.  My point is that the downside is a lot bigger than the upside for a Union/Curry ECAC game.

Union is EXPECTED to win by at least 2 TD's.....anything else is looked at negatively IMO.

Why is Union expected to win that game by 2 TD's?

Union isnt what it was when you played there U89. They just arent.

I am not saying they are, again you are saying that.

Without question, Union is part of the 3 headed monster in the LL....I think that any one of those 3 are expected to win convincingly vs. any NEFC team today.

Union is (hopefully) in the midst of its 2nd consecutive 5 win season. Not sure how you can expect them to win convincigly versus a team that beat the E8 Champion in last years NCAA Playoffs.

I would expect them to win. Which may be showing my bias. MAYBE I write.

You expecting them to win convoncingly is without question showing yours.

To me if you dont look at the schedules but look at the resumes from the last 3 seasons. Look at the 1 common opponent (at SJF). You would have to give Curry the advantage. If you were to  factor in the schedules, from this season, the absolute most you could do is put it as an even matchup.

Union is 2-4 versus Hobart/RPI in the last 3 seasons. Not sure being under .500 keeps them as "part of the 3 headed monster".

With all that said, I hope Im wrong and Union would win by 21! Cant say it would shock me. All I am saying is that if you really truly look at that possible match-up without bias, that you HAVE to either call Curry the favorite or it a pick em at the most. Putting Union as a favorite in that game would be looking at Unions current situation through rose colored glasses.

Ha.  TDT will give The Grocery Bagger 500 yards passing (20 pts) and 11 TD passes (44 pts) tonite...and still eat the filet mignon

Reno, of the few people who have posted on this subject here in LLPP, you are the only person who has picked Curry as a favorite in a perspective match-up with Union.

You may think I over value the Dutchmen, I think you greatly under value them.  Union is very young, but I would put their skilled players on offense up against anyone in the LL.

I'm just hoping to make it a bit more respectable....a 'W' is out of the question.

This may be the biggest endorsement I have ever received.
