The funny thing is TDT that I wanted to buy his house out here.  If you look at the place online, at least from the outside, it doesn't appear to be that great.  It was up for a little over $.5m. sweet spread, but with most foreclosures, it would have taken forever.  Plus, I don't even want to imagine what went on in that place.
The boat was like 3X as expensive as his house @ 1.5m.

Something doesnt add up here!

A River Hills house belonging to former NBA star Latrell Sprewell was foreclosed on Monday after he failed to show up in court to contest the action brought by a bank that held his mortgage.

The holder of the mortgage, RBS Citizens Bank, told Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge David Hansher that Sprewell owed $320,284. According to River Hills records, the house is assessed at $610,000 and has an estimated fair market value of $667,980. Sprewell bought the house in 1994 for $405,000.

PS, love the interweb

Ha priceless REG.  TDT stills smiles thinking about when Latrell came out in the Twin Cities media begging for a new contract/extension because 3 yrs/21 million wasn't enough to feed his brood.  WTF, does he have Shawn Kemp-esque off spring/child support payments???

BTW: Reg you old dog.  You shoulda driven down to Whitewater a couple weeks ago when the Johnnies played the Warhawks.  TDT could've introduced you to some of his esteemed Johnnie pals.  The tailgate (Chicago Polish Sausages, famous cheeseburgers, and unlimited cold bevies) along with the hospitality is 2nd to none..

Why would Sprewell even have a mortgage on a 500K house?  Wouldnt it be stupid for any of these athletes to have any type of mortgage or loan on any of their property?

I was just looking online at some Redsox players property around Boston.  Now here is Julio Lugo making 9 million a year buying a 3.425 million dollar house on 1/1/07.  I would think that would be a done deal.

(the town of brookline assessors database wont link properties for some reason)

I guess even Spree needs to build his credit..............
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Reg that tax is high but probably comparable percentage wise to what the "normal" people have to pay in these other towns.  I don't pay 1/4 of that but im close on a normal house....

check out the owner of Rebook on the same road as Lugo (150 Woodland Rd) as he pays $184,197 a year in taxes.

or the owner of the patriots son paying $56,229 in taxes a year on the same road (27 Woodland Rd)

Or the owner himself around the corner at (296 Heath) at $23,770 a year in taxes.

That comment almost got lost in all this cool real estate talk... Chappy Sinclair is an American hero and combat veteran of covert operations in ambiguous middle eastern nations.  The real bitch is Chris Chambers for putting up a goose egg for the Clownpunchers.

And LT for hardly playing...and Antonio Gates for zero catches...and the Raiders for sucking so bad.
