One thing I knew and two I did not know about this year's Guilford football games:

- All games will be audio-cast over www.stretchinternet.com
- All home games will also be video-cast over www.stretchinternet.com
- All games can be heard over the phone at 216-502-3200 x 4173 - may give you more mobility than the internet and not a bad deal if you have an unlimited calling plan.

Much obliged Hasa. That will work just fine checking in Saturday night from Nags Head.  :)

Ferrum recieved a vote?????

WTF????

can you vote for your own team in the AFCA poll????

That just seems so ridiculous.....mind boggling! Stupid! With a vote like that the AFCA poll has zero credibility!

CNU85

I would sooner cheer the PAckers than give Ferrum a vote in a top 25 poll!!

;D ;D

PAkownr - did I just say that?

appreciate the love for the ODAC and more personally Guilford. I still can't possibly fathom the thought behind some of those votes.

It's gonna be a long season for us Vikes fans...once again! Ugh...I started cheering them on in 1969...first SB against KC.....I remember the SB against Oakland....I was at my girlfriend's house (Junior High School time!!). By halftime I was so ticked, we went to her room and made out during the second half!! Best Vikings SB I can remember!!!

Pat,

I think your "rant" is right on. Unbelievable!!  :o Does the AFCA really expect to be taken seriously?

I know this is a football board, but thought some of you might be interested in Guilford's 2007-08 men's basketball schedule.  In addition to the full ODAC slate, Guilford will play 5 USASAC teams (Averett, Greensboro, Methodist, Shenandoah and NC Wesleyan) plus Villa Julie and Emory.  The interesting game, however, is a Nov. 5 exhibition date at the University of South Carolina, which is not so much of a surprise if you know USC Head Coach Dave Odom is a Guilford alumnus and former basketball and football player.  :)  What a dilemma for me since I have degrees from both!  Not really - go Quakers!  :)

I knew you guys were closet Packer fans.  Enjoy your sip of the green and gold kool-aid.

I won't give either of you karma points, but I will give you a brat (Johnsonville is the official bratwurst of the Green Bay Packers) smothered with Sargento cheddar (the official cheese of the Green Bay Packers).

CNWho, when your girlfriend threw up at the end of that Super Bowl, was it because she was sickened by the Vikings performance (please notice I did NOT call Bud Grant's teams the Viqueens--your current team's moniker) or was it your performance that turned her stomach!!!  Just pullin' your chain, Dude.   ;D

Enjoy watching Taveras the rest of this season.  I guess I will have to settle for that "old man" Favre, who only has 149 regular season victories (more than any other QB in history) and 34 post season wins.  As Linda Ronstadt used to say, "Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me."   :)

By the way, do either of you guys own part of the Viqueens?  Just curious.

Signing off while dripping with smug sarcasm,

Hasa... I fully expect the Quakers to make run at the ODAC title on the hardwood this year. However, you may want to jump on the Gamecock bandwagon for this one.  :D
