hasanova .... You might be right there, but after Pipp lost his spot in the starting lineup, he was traded to Cincinnati and played 372 games for them over the next three seasons ....  so I'm not sure what to expect here ....

I have seen all of the Tiger games this year.  I would agree that the difference in the success of the Tigers lies in two areas.  One a more consistent offense with multiple weapons. And second is a defense that is improved both in team speed and sure tackling.  Both ODAC victories came as a result of outstanding offensive production and one or two key defensive stops in the second half of each games.  In years past, the Tigers relied on out scoring opponents only.  They still must put up good numbers, but a second half stop against Guilford and two 4th quarter stops against Bridgewater were key in each of those wins.  They are not at the point where the defense will win games, but they are creating more turnovers this year.
I am looking forward to the game this weekend to see how the Tigers handle the Wasps.  Keep up with the info.  It is good to read about the Tigers on this board.

     I agree. So far, they are making plays when they have to. Just read in the Farmville Herald that the Tigers lead the ODAC defensively in total TO's (11) and TO ratio. (+2.2)  If the O remains consistent and the D continues to improve....WATCH OUT!! 
     The only two games I have seen in person were Gettysburg and BC. As I stated then, the Gettysburg game was the best over all game I have seen the Tigers play in several years. They totally dominated GC. Apparently, the Bullets are a pretty solid team. I fully expect a battle in Emory tomorrow. To win the ODAC, the Tigers will have to win on the road against quality teams. The Wasp will certainly be just that.  8)

Actually, they have 18 TOs- 7 fumble recoverys 11 int. (2.2 p/g).  Lost 6 for a +11 margin
Wasps are even
The bad news is HSC is 6th in the conference in points allowed with 137 in 5 games (of course 49 were against GC)
E&H are 1 with 44 in 4 games.
Offensively- Wasps are only averaging 28 to HSC's almost 40.
Should be interesting.

Hey Guys, This is great. Finally I have Tiger fan's and other ODAC fan's to talk to as well.
I have been to every Tiger game this year. And yes, The tiger's have multiple weapon's on offense and this is driving the opposing defense nuts.
What can I say, Josh Simpson is from another planet. He make's moves that give's me Vertigo....lol. Plus he is very hard to take down. He is one that you better wrap up. Drew Smith cannot be shut down, I feel sorry for who ever get's the job of defending him. Run's very accurate route's and has great hands. People don't realize how big this kid is. Drew is like 6'3 and weighs probably 210. I stood next to him after the BC game down on the field and he is a big boy. The tight end Josh Baumgartner is one of their most all around talented players. I have watched him close all year.
He block's like a tackle and is strong as an ox. He has hands like a reciever and he is always down field leading the way blocking. No doubt he is their best overall blocker. He has set several HSC weight lifting records.
Zack Miller the other reciever is like lighting in a bottle. This kid can flat out haul the mail. If he get's one step....He is gone !
But, Sedlar is the main difference at QB. This guy was thrown in at the last minute and was ask to lead the team. And, lead them is just what he has done. He seem's to always keep his cool. Even after making a bad play. he walks off the field and never seems rattled. This just goes to show you what a player can do if he is given the chance. And let's face it, running Coach Favret's offense is no easy task.
I guess the best way that I can describe the Defense is......
It's like a bend but don't break type " D " ...And as it was stated in a previous post.....We are creating " Turnovers "
We will just have to take it one game at a time and see how it shakes out at season's end.
Emory & Henry will be no easy task.....This is their Homecoming game and they are always well coached and never a cupcake team.
It's exciting to be an ODAC fan........It, for sure, will be a tough road !

To my beloved Wasp's don't get to overconfident or arrogant as some folks have called us. HSC is a very good team and  may have you playing catch up before you know it.

The Wasp's need to keep their head in the game and don't be overwhelmed by
the mass of humanity or the hoardes/multitude of the homecoming crowd/alumni and scores of HSC fans.

     Or... how about a congressional investigation. By the time they got done with it, congress would get a raise, we taxpayers would be a couple hundred mil further in the hole, AND Wasp average attendance would be revised to 100k.  When asked by reporters about reports that the satelite photos taken to confirm attendance were actually of Neyland Stadium 100 miles to the west, special appointee to the committee Bill Clinton was quoted as saying..."I did not have sex with that cheerleader!!"  Ted Kennedy added..."Neyland...Lane...Fullerton....who cares....I need a scotch."
