Anybody know where religion_major is these days?  I met him at a debate last year.  Nice guy.

Sitting indian style, praying in the mountains somewhere, having not shaved for years.

Actually, I have no idea. I believe he's joining us for our Homecoming festivities. Although, you're right, we haven't seen him on the boards in awhile.

I don't have any cool stats like the miz, but that happens when you play OL.  All I've got going for me is smallest starting OL in the NCAA at all levels and I was in ESPN the Mag for Academic All-Region.  I'll concede victory to the miz though.  Always said I'm not afraid to eat crow.

P.S. No siblings, but a pretty cool Dad.

Haha, hey, that resume beats 99% of us older dudes on here. The academic part actually puts you over miz, too. ;) (sorry Adam!)

I remember seeing you play at E&H, playing beside those huge (but slow) dudes. They were 6'5'', 320. You were 5'8'', 220. But you moved the pile better!

Hope you'll be at E&H-BC in a couple weeks. Would love to meet you (and glad you've become a regular contributor to the boards!).

Haha, thanks Kid.  For the record though (I'll actually admit to a little fudging on the part of our SID here), I was 6' as listed, but I usually played around 190-195.  I only got over 200 when I had enough mud on my cleats after it rained.  Luckily enough I will be at E&H/BC.  Thank God law school has Fall Break.  If you'd like to volunteer, I'm helping out with the gate count that day.

Ba Da Bump!  :D

I'll be there a little late as I will be attending one of the family reunions in the area prior to the game. Now the question is, will I get counted more than once?  ???  ;D ;D

I'll toot miz's horn for him...

He was all-conference first team his junior and senior year.  He's No. 10 on the school's all-time career sacks list with 11.5.  His senior year, he led a defense that gave up only 15.2 points a game, and held all 10 opponents to three or less TDs. Oh, and he has a really cool brother.

There's miz.  TheEHC52, you're up. :)

((( this is all in good fun, btw )))
I got a ribbon and a silver dollar for perfect attendance in the 4th grade.  :)

How much would that dollar be worth today had you invested it instead of buying homemade candy from the local drug store?
I don't know because I still have all them.  :)  They're early 1920's silver dollars.  The tradition then at my school in Patrick County (VA) was to give each kid who attended every day of the school year a coin.

TheEHC52

You getting counted twice will depend on the type of libations provided by Stone Station prior to kickoff. ;)

Man you had me going for a second Hasa. I thought you were going to say they gave you a coin dated for the year you had the perfect attedance.  :o

TheEHC52,
If your gate counter stays at Stone Station long enough he may be seeing triple.  :D

I'm sure you received your coin and ribbon back in the day when you actually had to earn them. None of the warm fuzzy BS where EVERY kid gets a ribbon like these days.  ;)

Hey allsky,

Yeah, it wasn't as warm and fuzzy as it is now.  Smiley faces had not yet been invented and teachers did mark your papers with red ink.  lol  There were 180 school days and you had to be there every day and the principal had a paddle with holes he'd drilled himself.  Ouch!  If you got a paddling at school, my parents gave me another when I got home because they figured the principal had a good reason and had probably held back some.  lol

Hey llama,

To answer your concern, I was not born in the 1920's, but the silver dollars were minted in the 1920's.  I can, however, understand why you'd get confused.  :)  I'm 99.9% sure I'll be visiting with Stone Station Saturday morning.  Is there anything I can contribute?

Touche.  I'm not a bad speller, but I am a bad typist.  :)  PS  I'm only going to give you credit for one.  I stand by Quakers all the way!  lol

That's the funniest darn thing I've seen in a while!  Looks just like him.  He looks a bit stiff though?  Probably from being a master debater........
