WOW HSC-EHC-RMC-BC
IT's going to be a great finish.
I have a couple of things for the discussion board

1.  HSC should be weary of the trap game coming up this week at CUA.
CUA is not that far off the path and with two weeks to prepare, it also being CUA's homecoming, this weekned should shape up to be an interesting game.

HSC does have some things going for them
1.  I don't know if CUA can stop HSC's Offense
2.  Can CUA not turn the ball over as they have in this year's two loses.
3.  CUA needs to run the ball, I don't know when CUA will realize you can't throw the ball exclusively to win in the ODAC.
4.  My former coach Marty Favret takes personal pride in beating CUA
With all that said I think CUA has a better shot then most people think

2.  Trivia Question
When was the last time that a RMC-HSC end of year rivalry game determined the ODAC Champion?

Don't forget about (not a conference) ACFC!!!!  ??? But if Wesley beats B-Port this week and then throttles Salisbury next week the ACFC could and would deserve a B as well as a C.... Especially with the way that the non-conference opponents have been winning . (owp, oowp)

Agreed my friend. However if Salisbury wins that game there could also be another 2 loss team in Wesley vying for that Poll C bid.

Pak,

I'll actually be back in town Wednesday for fall break, so I don't think it would be a problem to stop by Stone Station.  Not really any place to eat in Emory, except for The Deli.  It's school owned and right next door to the bookstore, but it's pretty good.  There are a couple of good places in Abingdon like Alison's (best baked potato soup ever), The Hardware and The Pepper Mill.  Other than that, exit 7 down in Bristol has all the standard fare like Ruby Tuesday's, Logan's, Outback, etc.  So if your daughter picks E&H, does this mean you'll be sporting the blue & gold from here on out? :P  Any idea on what she wants to major in?  I can probably give some decent feedback.

1. Thanks for the advise on vittles

2. Lauren is leaning towards secondary education, but is still not sure.  She is only a Junior.

3. If she messes up and chooses an opponent of Bridgewater, I will probably do the same as I did when both kids attended an opponent of my High School Alma Mater; go to the kids' schools games and hope they win, except when they play MY team, then root for MY school in that game.

4. And most importantly, to ascertain that my child learns all about good sportsmanship, I will throw it up in her face when Bridgewater beats her college team.

GO BC!

Hasanova and Trenches,

I was nice to see you again, 'Nova, and nice to meet you Trenches.  For a Viqueens fan, you are alright. :)

Hope your Quakers bounce back, and take it to Washington and Lee next week.  Please put a big dent in the doors of their Daddies' Bimmers, so they are not emotionally recovered in time to play BC the following week.

Seriously, good luck, and hang in there.

can you handle meeting 2 viqueens fans in 1 year? I'm considering a trip to Stone Station on Nov 3.
Hey, Vikings fans had something to cheer about today ... nice win over Da Bears!

I think it may be a tough chance for a C if Wesley loses because they have less in region games. 5-2 in region would take a lot more help than a Salisbury 7-1 in region

85 yards passing and 4 INT?  Give Coach Clark a bye week to prepare the defense and all of the sudden Superman becomes Clark Kent.

But just like Coach Clark said, at this point, one great game just buys you the chance to stay in the hunt for one more week.  Great job this week, but E&H (and RMC) will be even tougher.

Well, he did have terrible game ... no question about that, but word in the Guilford stands from at least three sources who would know said Vogelbach suffered a dislocated shoulder and cracked collarbone in the Greensboro game and was unable to practice until Oct. 10.  He was clearly not his best, so maybe this sheds some light on the situation.  With that said, however, congratulations again to the Eagles ... that was a rout!  Peace

pakowner97 and d3waterboy -

Good to see both of you yesterday as well - thanks so much for your gracious hospitality ... at least the part before 1 pm and after 4 pm.  lol  Thanks also for your best wishes for the Quakers.  We'll see which Guilford team shows up next week versus W&L.  I'm still optimistic the Quakers can finish the season on a very high note.

I agree. I figured the only game Wesley may lose this year was the Salisbury game. Leaves little room for error just like my Eagles.

I just counted, not taking into account in-region, etc. There are 16 playoff eligible teams left that are undefeated. Capitol still has to play The Mount and Waynesburg has to play W&J. In over half the conferences the second or third place team already has 2 loss. You heard it here first, there will be atleast one or more Pool C teams with 2 losses this year. I know not much of a prediction with the standings the way they already are.  ;)

Absolutely agreed that the injury factored in; however, none of the turnovers were returned for scores. No other team Guilford has played has scored 76 points through just over 3 quarters. I think the magnitude of this loss should be shouldered more by the defense than by Vogelbach.

Hey, Vikings fans had something to cheer about today ... nice win over Da Bears!

bittersweet. in my fantasy league (a scoring only league), the guy i was going against in the head to head portion had A. Peterson.....those long TD runs cleaned my clock...so when I saw the game breaks on TV I was yelling, "All right!! TD...Oh Crap!!" all at the same time!

Hey, Llama - I respectfully disagree to a point.  True, none were returned for scores, but BC had a relatively short field in much of yesterday's game.   The "fumbled" kickoff return, a couple of the interceptions and a few times we were so far behind we went for it on 4th down (and failed) even when we were in our own territory.  BC capitalized on all (or almost all of them).  No question, we have a weak Defense, but they were starting in a hole a lot after the first couple of possessions.

Fair enough. I just think the defense could have kept the score around 50 if they could have held BC to a few field goals since we had already missed 2 in the firsthalf. I do understand a tired defense has the offense to thank though. In BC's lean years, 1900-1999 minus a few years in the 1980's our defense expected to play 75% of the plays.  :o
