Yes I do have a life but when I got called out of bed to unlock a door I decided to focus my frustration on some research.

NCAA stats rankings provide an interesting comparison here are a couple of highlights:

Defense    (HSC 175) vs  (BC 174) ....equally shabby
Total Off.   (HSC  2)    vs  (BC  6)  ....both impressive
Turnovers (HSC  -2.7) vs  (BC -.7) ...neither very hot. edge to BC

The X factor:
HSC 590 yd per game were scored against teams whose average LAZ power rating was 41.11
BC 554 yd per game were scored against teams whose average LAZ power rating was 56.16

I think I'll take the Eagles

anyone notice how the steelers stole the BC clock operator from a few years ago?  ;)
(JOKE! don't take it and run w/ it)

i know its a technicality, and that rankings don't mean ish, but arent h-sc and bc both ranked #22? 80 votes vs. 80 votes. (i just don't want h-sc to be able to say they're ranked higher  ;))

Oh, and for those curious, the tiebreaker was who is higher on more ballots. Good thing about having an odd number of voters.

Here is the why, Outsider.

re: Todd Woods

I don't know what his impending status is, but he seperated his shoulder vs Ferrum in the first half. He did play against W&J, but was totally ineffective. EHC was also "missing" their two starters at DT and "starting several first year players in the secondary"

The article did not specify wether or not these players were injured or have quit... anyone with more info, we former wasps up around DC would appreciate it
thanks

Skoal probably stole it just like he did his #5 jersey.  Man, that makes him really fit in with the BC crowd doesn't it?

GO TIGERS !!

Coachemup:  That's the "running" man!  That's old school.  Still got it! ;) Ask my wife and BCGal.  That dude next to me is Brian Neal.  It was cold as heck that day so we were trying to keep warm.

And I didn't steal the sweatshirts or the #5 Jersey.  I paid quite a high price for that #5 ripped up jersey.  Thanks to outsider for the Sweatshirt!!!  Don't I look good?

Something tells me that your blood was kept warm by some other pregame activity, and the only price you probably paid for your jersey was in beverages.

Thanks for reminding me that Outsider still owes me money from those sweatshirts!

LMAO!  Man, can H-SC and B-Water play every week???

Regarding the talk about GC's wide receivers...Guilford has always had great skill players as long as I've been around the ODAC, so thats never been a problem for them. Their biggest problems always seemed to be having talent on the line and at quarterback. It seems like they finally have a decent guy at QB, and if they have any sense of life on defense then they might win some games this year. As ODAC play just gets started, I think the conference is a whole lot closer than it has been in recent years. This week will tell us a little more about that with W&L playing their first conference game and of course with BC/HSC.

Outsider,
i heard that story on ESPN radio yesterday. Was tempted to post a comment about the BC clock operator resurfacing at Hienz field but decided to leave the sleeping dog alone. But thanks for stirring things up ;) . Next thing you know those guys from NJ will be over here making snide remarks.

On the other hand a little self deprecation may defuse the comments. Well done!

Coach...

Actually, Skoal PAID for them.  You know, from the money he got working his job.  I know, I know, to trust fund HSC boys (and I mean boys) the idea of working for a living is as COMPLETELY foreign as girls, but try to follow me....I'll type slowly so you understand....Skoal gets up and goes to work.  A couple times a month he receives a paycheck.  He takes that paycheck and provides for his family; occasionally even buying something (such as a sweatshirt) for himself.  It's NOTHING like digging into the envelope full of money daddy left on the kitchen counter for you, but try to follow.  Re-read the steps if necessary.  Sound out the big words.

BC 40 (two missed extra points)
HSC 23 (three INT's for Ricca)

Skoal also does a mean lawnmower!  ;)
