I dont like to see alot of flags flying. Some of these games look like the entrance to the League Of Nations. I like to see the boys play. Call the obvious fouls and let em play ball. My son plays defensive live and says he gets held almost every play. He just deals with it. The O line on his team probably holds too. And theres a lot of bumping and shoving between the receivers and DBs thats just a part of the game. The officials call the obvious stuff but they have to let some things go. I know its hard to remove yourself (me too) emotionally from a game to look at it like the officials do, but as long as both teams are treated equally I have no problem. The eight ODAC games Ive seen this year have  been called pretty fair. I've seen missed calls but like they say "football imitates life" Sometimes you get a raw deal but you pick up and go on.

Question of the day? How many more wins will it take Bridgewater to get to .500 against E&H in the series?

Answer:  BC needs exactly one less win than it needed last Friday, and six less wins than it needed seven years ago.  And counting......

Hey miz...before hasanva sees it, I think the word FEWER is correct, in place of LESS, when we can count things...but, you are speaking about E&H where they usually cannot count attendance, so I guess LESS is correct down there.

Guess the Eagles "needs exactly one more" since Sept 29th added to the approx. 40 deficit  :D  Sorry miz....haven't been able to talk Tiger smack in a few years about the Eagles so couldn't pass that opportunity up!!  ;) As a Tiger fan, I am thankful for BC's contribution to the Tiger ODAC run this year.  ;D I also realize that if BC takes care of business, they will become Yellow Jackets for one day.  November 10th to be exact!! ;) Should be one heck of a day...even if the Jackets don't survive the next few weeks.  :'(

You know Jacket......with all due respect to my Eagle friends, I am pulling for the Jackets to show up Nov 10th undefeated in the ODAC. I get pumped just thinking about it!!  :o THE GAME deciding the ODAC title is the way it ought to be. The Jackets do have a tough row to hoe the next few weeks. Even if they can't win the title Nov. 10th, I'm sure they would get great pleasure depriving the Tigers from winning it.  ;)

You've got to know I want this, too.  But we're going to have to literally take it one game at a time, and play some inspired football.  I'd dreaded this portion of the schedule much earlier in the year. :(  Now I look forward to it.  I'm sure we're thinking only of the Quakers this week.

Curt Schilling had a good take on this from a baseball point of view.  When the bases get loaded, he focuses only on making the next pitch, and nothing more.  If he gets too far ahead of himself in the count, he'll make a mistake.  Or so he says. :D

One game at a time.  We've got to be in Greensboro this weekend.  And that's it for all practical purposes. 8)

I hear ya Jacket. One at a time. You know, the Tigers are sort of in a funny spot too. Obviously, they'd rather be where they are than anywhere else. On one hand, they have some time off to heal. On the other, they have some time off this week but then a game next week that probably doesn't mean much. Hopefully, it will be an chance for them to keep the cogs lubed before they play the Jackets and not a chance to get sloppy. Anyone know if the ODAC champ has a shot at a home playoff game?

Very good question.  When we went in 1984, we played Washington and Jefferson in Ashland.

If a one-loss R-MC or BC wins the title, maybe. I can't see an 8-2 H-SC team hosting.

And even that will be a reach!  UMHB, W&J / Waynesburg, Wesley/Salisbury will host. Also if there is no TX sub-bracket, Millsaps/Trinity may host over the ODAC. Plus Muhlenburg from the CC may host if they win and stay in the South bracket.  ;)

Can we move on to something other than the attendence figures at E&H? The ODAC is a very competitive league but I wounder how long it wll take for us to get another team in the finals. The Bridgewater team that went was a very special team with some great playmakers.  Lutz was a winner at QB. I just don't see the talent level today getting anybody to the next level soon.

PC needs an Ambian.  ;)I cannot keep up with my posts on one board.

Anyway predition. BC goes......HSC sits.  Cleveland of the ODAC.

The officiating explainations mean nothing IRT the ODAC. It is another planet. I do not care what excuse comes out. Pressured to "letting things go". That sentence would be making the assumption that the officials in this league were competent enough to realize they saw something bad.

Task, conditions, standards. 3 words ODAC officials do not adhere to.

ALot of people on this board have been coaches before and they know how they leave their guts on the field. One does need the added burden of some toad collecting whatever they collect for being useless. Nature had a vetting process and the ODAC officials violate it every Saturday by being allowed to survive.

The kids deserve people who care. You fire a couple of their sorry a**es and they would get alot better over night.

Yes I feel better. :)
