JacketLawyer.....I am thinking about coming to the RMC - HSC game this Saturday. I will be traveling from Lynchburg, VA with my wife and parents.
Could you suggest a good place for us to park ?
My Father is Handicapped and not able to walk very good.

I will get right on this and get back to you as soon as I know something; when do you need an answer?  I don't know the campus as well as I once did.  Maybe yellowjacket can help.  Either way, we'll find you something!! :)

tigerftblfan...i will email you a list, and give you a number you can call (campus safety) to see if you can get a parking spot right by the stadium, so no walking.

O.K. I'm bored . Need to get things stired up.What is the consensus on the E&H vs Guilford game?

EHD
I'm going to give a slight edge to Guilford for several reasons:

The Quakers are at home and it's a long trip from Emory
It's Senior Day - Joe Joyner and others want to finish on a high note
The Quakers played relatively well both Offensively and Defensively at Catholic
Vogelbach appears to be back to form for the most part
E&H seems to be in a late season slide that may be difficult to reverse on the road

I could be wrong, of course, but I'm hoping the Quakers put it all together on Saturday.  If you come to the game, e h dad, let me know and I'll be sure to say hello.

Jacketlawyer just hit a Homer.

No, just have to know your superiors. . .  ;D

Many thanks for the text messages on Saturday.  Was feeling a lot like Charlie Brown in the office moping about missing the game.  The scores were a very welcome relief. 8)
DOH!!!  Even Homer would understand.  You're welcome.  I've also had to work some Saturdays (and attend a wedding reception) when I really wanted to be at a game, so I know how you felt.   I wish I could be at the RMC/HSC game, but I think I owe it to some of my buddies on the Guilford team to be there for their Senior Day.  I'll expect a full report from you on THE GAME!

And good luck to Guilford on their senior day!!!!  I hope they put it all together and do a good job for themselves and for  their loyal fans as well.  Say hello to Trenches if you see him!!  Hope to see you both at the Stagg!!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

Thanks, olinemom.  I hope it's a beautiful day for a game and the Quakers play well.  I haven't seen Trenches in a few weeks, but I hope he'll be there on Saturday.  I'm planning on being at the Stagg Bowl - Dec. 15, right?  I'll see what it looks like as we get closer to that date.  May everyone finish the season injury free and playing their best ... and may THE GAME come down to a 2-point conversion attempt to win (or lose) by one with 0:00 on the clock!  lol  jacketlawyer, can your heart take it?  :)

Hasa, it had better take it.  Wish you could come to it, but you're doing the absolute right thing by rooting on your Quakes.  Good luck to them on Saturday! :)

I, too, wish I could attend the R-MC/H-SC game. But I can't see myself ever attending another game when my Eagles were playing.

10-0, 8-2, 6-3 ... I'm supporting my Eagles. :)

Of course you are.  Nothing less would be expected.  Allsky and I were just saying, "you're invited!" ;D

Dad must not have been too big a stud for the Tigers...I lived on the campus until 1983 and I have never heard of him.  :D GO TIGERS!!

I think if the Tigers beat Macon this weekend, you have to at least bring up Marty for consideration. Remember, the Tigers were picked to finish 5th this year.  8)

No doubt about it.  If the Tigers win it on Saturday, it can be said that Coach Favret took a team picked to finish 5th to the ODAC Championship, beating Macon and Aruzzo when all the chips were on the line.  Both teams are success stories, for sure, and I think that the coach who wins The Game and the NCAA bid this Saturday has the best claim to the COY award.

muchacho

Even if the Tigers win on Saturday I don't think Favret deserves COY over Arruza. The preseason poll might have had the Tigers placed 5th, but that truly means nothing. Its more impressive to me that Arruza took a team that was 0-6 in the conference last year, and was outscored by 95 points, to 5-1 than it is for Favret to take a 4-2 conference team that was outscored by 9 to 5-1.

Both are great accomplishments but I'm afraid I have to agree with muchacho on this one. Without going back to look, I believe I picked H-S to finish 2nd or 3rd back in August. I never dreamed they would be playing Macon for the ODAC title and a playoff spot but I knew they were better than 5th. I truly thought the jackets would be scrapping it out with Catholic for the bottom of the barrel. IMO, Arruza deserves the award and I will be shocked if he doesn't get it. I just think with a Tiger W Saturday, Marty's name has to at least enter the conversation.  Then give it to Arruza.  :D

Anyone see the piece on ESPN about the four brothers playing for their dad at Linfield? Their grandfather is Meadowlark Lemon. Just caught the very end of it. Hopefully, they will run it again. Pretty cool.  8)
