Nice article on Tiger Thomas Hovis in the Richmond Times Dispatch

http://www.inrich.com/cva/ric/sports/colleges.apx.-content-articles-RTD-2007-11-09-0004.html

Good article.  St. Chris is a Hampden-Sydney pipeline.  The joke among some of the older St. C alumuni is that if you got to H-S after St. C, you've been to H-S twice!

Hovis seems like a good man.  Too bad R-M wins anyway! 8)

Everyone should read K-Mack's Around the Nation column.  He hit the ball out of the park on the rivalry. :)

JL and Skoal....I have a beef. I know you two live in Lynchburg so you probably understand where I am coming from. The News & Advance STINKS!! I cancelled my subscription several years ago because it is so bad. I realize UVA and VT will always get most of the press but there is NO mention whatsoever of THE GAME on their site. WSET is only slightly better. They don't seem to have problems covering H-S or the Farmville area when there is a drug bust at H-S or a murder in Farmville!! P's me off!! Not to mention the many H-S and R-M alums that live in their coverage area. OK....I feel better now.  ;D
     Kudos X 1,000 to Pat & Co. for giving D3 a voice.  ;)

Could not have put it more succinctly.  I was just getting some coffee at Starlight on 5th, and picked up our rag of a paper.  Nothing in there on The Game.  Truly pathetic.

Again, thanks DIII guys.  If I could karma all of you today, I would.  But starting with Allsky, who was eeriely timely with his post.

I know that several people were interested, so I thought I would pass on that R-MC has brought in seating for about 1,000 on the visiting side and put 12 - 14 sets of bleachers behind the end zones. I imagine it will still be standing room only, but it seems like they have done the best they can.

They have now done all they can do.  It'll still be standing room only!

I'm having a lot of fun with the Hampden-Sydney alums I know. ;D  What a great day.

Here's wishing the Jackets good luck tomorrow.

Alas, I cannot attend.  My wife is running in the Richmond Marathon tomorrow (Her 1st one).  I am going to be a good husband and not leave her alone at home after she runs the damn thing.  I've gotta pick her up at the finish line.

I'll be watching the game on line.  Hope all you good Jacket fans will have one for me and cheer us on to victory.  HSC fans can have one for me as well.

I also agree, Keith's article was a good read.

IMO, Facebook is the grownup version of MySpace.

Again, IMO, MySpace is just too messy. Facebook is a lot more clean and easier to navigate. A lot more functional, too, for us older folks.

I have Facebook if anyone cares to add me!
