Thanks for the advice JeremyBozz.....I guess its time to break out the thermal underwear....Ha ! Ha !
I got cold at the RMC vs HSC Game....Burrr !
Its sounds like Dover, Delaware will be even colder :(
Any Advice on things to do near Wesley College ?
Good food and an adult beverage always works for me....LOL

Bring LOTS and LOTs of quarters!!! I prefer the penny machines ,I still lose most of it but it takes longer  ;D  Dover is wall to wall restaurants. Conrad can fill you in on the "other" places to visit.

Even if the temps are in the 50's there is always at least a breeze so BEWARE it can be chilling.

The tailgaiting has gone to a new level at Wesley and is bigger and better than when you were last  there.  Wesleydad and a few others have enjoyable post game tailgates as well.

That is great to hear! I assume you will be present for another playoff run? The votes have been cast Survivor style and Stone Station will be in the house early am Saturday morning. As of now, The Kid, Oil can and myself will be present. Nothing spectacular by Stone Station standards, just a little "low country boil" and "communion". You will have to make a trip to the Stagg for the all out "spread of the year"  ;)  Hope to meet as many Wesley and HSC posters as possible on Saturday!

llama, i will be there and will make sure to stop by and say hi.  we will likely be right next to you guys anyway.  we will be there around 9 - 915.  early start for an early kickoff.  look forward to the game, dont know much about hsu except that they seem to give up points, not a good thing against wesley.  any info would be appreciated.

wesleydad....don't worry about H-SC. Go ahead and start worryng about the following weekend. Please pass this info on to your coaching staff. The Tigers are not very good. Ya'll will probably beat them by 50. You are correct....their D is pathetic. I'm saying 50 but that is probably estimating low. As for hook and ladder, on side kicks, trick plays....stuff like that....forget about it. Coach Marty likes to run....run...run. You know very conservative type stuff. Enjoy the tailgate and expect a 50 point victory.  Wouldn't even surprise me if the Tigers just forfeit so they can get an early start on their Thanksgiving holiday. ;)

Didnt get a chance to post after the Macon game but wanted to thank the Macan fans and team for their graciousness, hospitality and the class they showed on Saturday. They have a fine football team that will be back and in the thick of the ODAC next year.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who knows this, but I just want to say it for the record.  Jacketlawyer, you're a class act.  I know how disappointed you are that your RMC Yellow Jackets aren't going to the NCAA tournament as the ODAC champion, but kudos to you (and the other RMC fans) for being magnanimous in defeat and for now graciously (and sincerely) throwing your support to the deserving Hampden-Sydney Tigers.  You embody the many reasons I am a fervent fan of DIII.  Thank you for showing us all how to win - and lose - with dignity.  Bravo!

Hasanova, thanks, and I think the exact same of you. 8)  I try to walk it as I talk it.  I'm very happy for the Tigers and I cannot retract anything I said on my earlier post.  They were the better team on Saturday and completely deserve to got to the playoffs.  I hope they represent the ODAC well.

But this loss hurt, make no mistake about it.  Losing to Hampden-Sydney on an annual basis has become extremely boring and discouraging.  In fact,  it's absolutely unacceptable. >:(

However, having said that, GO TIGERS. ;D

Also, I forgot to add that the Tigers' 12th Man was very much in great form at The Game.  Once, when they all shouted "PAASSS" in unison, I thought my hearing was going to go. ;D

I hope they all make the trip to the Wesley game. ;)

Jacket.....thanks for the kind words in the earlier post. Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it this weekend to DE. THIS is the weekend of my hunting trip. In hindsight, I am glad I read the calendar wrong and was able to make it to Ashland Saturday. As much as I am looking forward to my trip, it will be extremely tough not being able to get info on the game until Sunday.  :'(  I will be sitting on the side of a mountain in Alleghany County Saturday sending out as strong a GO TIGERS vibe as I can muster. The Tigers have nothing to lose. Go up there and let it all hang out. I know this is a very good Wesley team but they are not unbeatable. GO TIGERS!!

Allsky,
Will you be in Dover or is this the weekend you were going hunting? Unfortunately for BC, our coaches will start hunting this Friday night. Hunting the ingredients to the 2008 ODAC Championship! :o

Llama.....I will not be in DE this weekend. See previous post. Next weekend I will be in GA visiting family. So unless the Tigers get on a roll, I will see you in Salem.  ;)

Olinemom

POY?  I'd go with Drew Smith.  He was their secret ingredient that beat us this year.  After a while we knew the ball was going to him and he would still catch the ball and make beautiful runs!!  And no extra-field problems--an easy choice IMHO.
COY--RMC coach--amazing turn around in these  4 years, especially from last year to this year!!

Good luck to Hampden-Sydney!!  I hope you do well up there.  Beward of Delaware's speed and that Beavers guy!  Work on your defense.  That will be needed in spades!!  And I sure hope it won't be as cold as when we were there.  I'll be there in spirit.  Llamaguy, OilCan and Kid will be heading the Stone Station contingent!!  I need to go to a state final game this weekend. ;D ;D ;D
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

HSCguy

Does anyone know when the ODAC All-Conference selections come out?  Olinemom-good choice on picking Drew Smith for POY.  IMO, I believe it will either go to him or Josh Simpson.  I also think that Coach Aruzza will get COY due to the fact that he took a program that was horrible in years past and turned them into something worth talking about.

Good luck to the Tigers in Dover, DE.  Wesley looks tough, but there has to be a kink in the armor somewhere.  We shall see soon enough.

willierobin

I'm confused. How is Macon's 8-2 season with a decisive loss to HSC (and by all accounts a better coaching day for Favret)more deserving of COY for Pedro than Marty's 8-2 seaon and the win over Pedro FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP? Pedro did a great job in going from 2-8 to a 2ND PLACE finish, but Marty took a 4-6 team and WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP by beating Macon and Pedro on their home field 31-13!! This should be easy - Favret is the COY.

Pat Coleman

I don't think it's easy but I think that's the right decision.
