Yeah Ralph, I checked already.  Two questions remain -
1)  Will I be too tired to make that six hour drive to Nashville after the game by myself?  :-\
2)  Will crualum39 help me or will he have too much "fun" at Stone Station?  ;)
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

If it works out, we should have all day.  ;D

Llamaguy,
thanks for the support today.  i never thought i'd see the stone station crew up in dover.  that shows how great the odac fan support is.  i just wanted to note that the tigers never backed down from those big boys and gave em' one heck of a fight.  congrats to the 2007 tigers for doing something that has taken 30 years to repeat.  also, i would like to congratulate them on winning the odac, which took 20 years to repeat.  see you guys next year.

Ralph/Roocru - I take No-doze when I have trips like that. Each pill is the same as a cup of coffee....only no bathroom stops are needed!!! I did it one night when I had to get my daughter up to New York City for a dance thing....she had a district gymnastcs meet for her high school team that evening in Va. We left Va at 8pm and pulled into Times Square at 2am......thanks to a few no-doze, it was a piece of cake.....and best news was that she qualified for high school regional meet that night and the next night she was taking a dance class with the cast of Wicked on Broadway  -- how cool was that?

roo - find a place halfway....leave around 9 that night...stop at midnight.....up at 6 and you're there.

Roocru,

Congrats on a first round win and a second round home game. As much as I was planning on heading to PA to watch the Cru next week, I am glad that your fans can be there for more than one playoff game. I've said it was a travesty that a team has the b%lls to schedule a Top 5 team on the road and loses it's opportunity to host multiple playoff games. I'll just have to wait an extra week to see the Cru up north in my area code. Good luck next week and keep in touch.  ;)

Thanks Llamaguy and thanks to olinemom for her earlier message.  It was great to watch today's game with my son.  He is still a little upset his team missed the HS playoffs this year but I think today's win helped him out a little. :D

He and I are still planning on coming for the Stagg Bowl and maybe come with the fullback on his 2004 team.  They are coaching together and it is a lot of fun for both of them!!

I am still trying to work out one issue in that I have to be in a NIAAA meeting in Nashville at 10:00 am the next morning.  I am trying to figure out how I can accomplish that. >:(

A question for olinemom.  With all that love I have been seeing on the WIAC board, who are you going to be rooting for if UMHB is fortunate enough to make another trip to Wisconsin?  ;)

Sorry you guys did not make the dance this year. :( I will stay in touch!

I've been thinking about that.  I'll probably just be sick to my stomach all day.  I hate it when my teams have to play each other.  I just watch and figure what happens is what happens.  I am so pleased that you all had a great win today.  I was at a state championship game today to watch Kyle Long (son of Howie).  His team won and I had promised  him, guess what, brownies.  It was an enjoyable afternoon and I didn't have to go all the way to Wesley in order to see some football.I even got to see and talk to Howie.  It has been a good day, because Clemson just lost (My Mom went to Furman and they were big rivals back in the day!!)  I am looking forward to seeing you guys at the STAGG!!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

My question for those who went to Dover...how good did Wesley look?  After seeing them in the flesh, how deep do you think they will go in the playoffs?
NO, Tusky, You cannot MOON Dr. Geisert!

Llama

Great to see you and the boys in Dover today. Now where you going next week??? Won't be W&J. And I can't see you driving to Texas and back in one day. Could the Stone Station hit Dover two and possibly three weeks in a row?  I hope you stops on the way home were enjoyable ;)

It looks like we will get to know the path to Dover quite well over the next few weeks. Yes, had a great day and made our appointment for dinner. Excellent wings and even better "orange shorts" as always!  ;)
How did you make out with the other stop in Dover?? Were you able to get those refreshments? :D

Found the alphabet store quite easily but no luck. The internet and Fedex will do the trick though! :o

It's an even shorter 10 min ride to the Roanoke Airport then sit back and enjoy the ride to Nashville! ;)

Heck if you went that route you may be able to stay at Stone Station postgame long enough to
log a few more promised beers for future Stagg Bowls. Wait, after what you saw last year you shoud be good to go for about a decade so nevermind!  :D :D :D

Congratulations to HSC for a fine season.   I'm truly sorry the ODAC's season is over, but, as Llama and many others have said, the DIII season is still on until the Stagg Bowl!  Speaking of Llama, sounds as thought the Stone Station "road show" was another great success - and I'm not the least bit surprised!  Hope to see you all in Salem on December 15!

So, what do you folks think about NC Wesleyan pulling it out at W&J?  Number 8 tops number 1.  Wow!

I think this years WC team is as big and as fast as as the prior 2 years, however, in my opinion, this years team is a half click behind the '05 & '06 teams that won the South Region.  Having said that, this team is very good and has the ability to do the same.  #92 at DE is a beast, #12 can beat you running, returning, receiving and throwing, the QB throws a pretty, deep ball, then lines up wide and catches a TD pass.  Oh, and the defense will hit you, hard.

On a side note, congratulations to the H-SC Tigers on a great season.  Played hard from start to finish.  The ODAC was represented well.

I second those thoughts. Well stated.

It was a pleasure tailgating and watching the ballgame with oilcan, llama, and papa oilcan. It was quite a treat to be thanked by so many Hampden-Sydney fans, some players, and Coach Favret, for coming up and cheering on the ODAC. As Favret was walking to do interviews after the game, he stopped and shook each one of our hands and thanked us. Class act.

Even though the Tigers are our rivals, as llama stated in an earlier post, it's (1) BC first, (2) ODAC second, and (3) D3 always. Part of being our rival is having respect for you all ... so thanks for giving Wesley a tough game and representing the ODAC well!

And after watching the HSC-Wesley game, Drew Smith should be our conference's POTY. He caught some amazing balls while getting hit hard. As much as Corey and Josh are good talents, Drew is the standout IMO.
