To all my ODAC and DIII friends, I'm really sorry I will now not be able to attend next Saturday's Stagg Bowl.  I already offered my apology to Llamaguy.

As luck would have it, my boss just changed the company holiday dinner from Friday night to Saturday night at 5:30 pm.  I live 2 hours from Salem and the kickoff is at 4, so you see the problem.  Since I'm one of the four people who lead our plant, I have to go.

Have a great time and know I wish I could be there!  :)

Hasa.....sorry you can't make it Sat my friend. I promise at least one toast in your honor.  ;)

UHG!!!! I'm having a teenage flashback and it ain't pretty!!  :o Can I bring Crown Royal instead?  ;)

GO AMHERST LANCERS....ONE MORE TO GO....CRUSH THE SHERANDO WARRIORS!!!  ;D

Allsky, I heard that Amherst has two or three kids going to play at Tech next year and are favored heavily, but let me know what you think of Sherando's QB Metheny.  The kid has been nothing short of amazing this year.

The only two that I know for sure are Rose (QB) and McCoy (TE). I knew there was at least one more going to VT but not sure. My neighbors son goes to ACHS so I will see if I can find out more info on the others.
Speaking of the LANCERS.....congratulations on their 56 to 10 victory over Sherando in the AA Division 4 SC yesterday. The Lancers are just on a different level. My congrats to the Sherando Warriors for a great season before running into the Amherst buzzsaw. They seemed to be a well coached and classy bunch.
The QB (#15) for Sherando is a very good QB. He  methodically led them down the field on the opening series of the game and scored. He got hurt in the first half yesterday and only played a little in the second half. Doubtful it would have had any impact on the final result of the game but no doubt hurt Sherando with him not in there. #29, the RB for Sherando is a solid player too. It is very difficult to play O, D, and special teams against a quality opponent and not take a pounding. I think he was hurting by halftime.
Llama and Skoal.......sorry I missed you yesterday but I WILL find you this coming Saturday.  ;)

     And Kid too!!  :-[

Llama,

I didn't get a response from that Boones Farm dealer in NJ. I'll try one more idea tomorrow.

Thanks, allsky.  I was very much looking forward to the game and camaraderie.  I'm going to hold you to that toast!  :)

Thanks also to Olinemom.  Sometimes life gives you lemons, but I learned a long time ago to make lemonade.  I'll enjoy the holiday party and someone can text me the score.  :)

Llama and others:  Looking forward to seeing y'all this Saturday as Mount goes for "one for the other thumb".

PM me if you'd like anything brought down from Ohio.

AllSky, we missed you as well.  What a game by Amherst.  They are the real deal.  Peter Rose is going to make some waves at VT.  If I was them, I'd drop him at tailback and create just a little space.  He's a qucik player and has some good speed as well.  There is a difference and that was showcased this past Saturday.

As for the Stagg Bowl!  I can't wait.  Preparing all week for the festivities.  See you there.  I would tell you where we are going to be but you'll be able to see us from I-81.

Don't you mean one for the big toe?  They haven't been tested all year.  I'd love to see a competitive game but I just think Mt. Union is too tough.  Either way you slice it, Stone Station will be top notch again this year.  Everyone is in for a good time. Should be a Great Day.

SS Men!

I have decided to bring some "Ohio Goodness" to the party this year.  Therefore, I will be donating a case of Great Lakes Christmas Ale
to the festivities.  It's a rather tasty beer brewed on the shores of Lake Erie right in downtown Cleveland.  Now I have to admit it's no Boones Farm, but it's not a bad distant second.   ;D

wesleydad

skunks, i plan on bringing a case or 2 of micro brew also.  i have a case of sam adams winter mixed, i know its not microbrew, but it is good.  i have a couple of other choices also.  we will certainly be bringing some pa yuengling with us.  i am really looking forward to meeting all the different people who i get to read on this site.  hurry up friday.  we will arrive about 930.  where does everyone hang out on friday.  i need to finalize plans to make sure we get there to partake in some pregame day festivities.  too bad my son has a final and wont be done until about 130, stopping us from leaving earlier.  see you all in salem.

theaprof

I'm bringing some Burning River from Great Lakes as well.  Only had one taker so far on the shirt/hat exchange--CNU85 and I are trading--anyone else?  I can get a shirt, a hat, whatever--let me know.

GO RAIDERS--SEE Y'ALL IN SALEM--DON'T FORGET TO ORDER UP THE SAME WEATHER AS LAST YEAR!
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

Hey, not a thing wrong with Sam. Technically, they aren't a microbrewery any more but they do a good job with their brews. Being the redneck beersnob that I am, I would like to put my name on one of those Great Lakes Ales.  ;) I should have a six or two of Brooklyn Brown and Stone IPA. I had some Saison Dupont Belgian Farmhouse Ale that I planned to bring but lets just say it won't be making the Stagg Bowl this year.  :D I have been on the road since last Thursday AM and just walked in the door from a mountaintop install in Lebanon, VA. All I can say after fighting tractor trailers on I-81 is.....YUMMY!!!  ;D

wesleydad

if i didnt know any better, this looks like it might turn into a brewfest ;D.  there is nothing wrong with tasting some good brew from around the country while tailgating with some great people ::).  the only way this could have been looking any better was if wesley was playing in the stagg.  i am glad that stone station came up to wesley this year and i got to meet the guys, they made the decision to make the trip very easy.

Another trip to Stone Station.  Can't wait!  It will be great to see you again, Olinemom and Llamaguy.  Let me know if you need anything.
