i've jotted down some of my thoughts on the Orange Bowl and how it compared to the Stagg Bowl as far as tailgating and fans in the parking lot, etc. I'll blog it on d3football as soon as Pat reminds me what my password is...... :P :-\

I'm glad I'm not the only person who never can remember my password and then when Pat gives it to me, it works exactly once and then it doesn't work again.  I waved at you in the crowd.  I was almost as cold even though I was at home!!  And tonight when I could enjoy a game without doing HW?  There is no game!!!!!

Well, as usual, I can't get on to make a comment on the blog, so I'll say it here.  I really enjoyed reading all about your experience at the Orange Bowl and the comparison between the tailgating scene.  When I was a kid (in another century [and probably another galaxy]) my parents & family and friends used to tailgate at the old (and fantastic) Scott Stadium and even though I was way too young to taste all the good stuff we all had a fantastic time, still it was not like the hospitality of Stone Station, even if I do say so myself.  D3football is much more of a family and more closely knit and that's a good, no, I think, great attritute to our sport.  The camaraderie is what I really enjoy.  I'm already ready for the next Stagg Bowl and it seems so far away.  Now I would BC to participate in it, natch, but I plan on being there for ALL THE FESTIVITIES just like this year, no matter what.  My Christmas present to me!!  Now do I see you at the baseball diamond?  We usually play CNU?  Javen't yet perused this year's schedule, but your coach is one of my absolute favorites!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Only a few more hours and the real debating can begin!! Who's number one? OSU? LSU? UGA? USC? Kansas? Missouri?  :o  We D3 folk can sit back in the smug comfort of knowing who our champion is.  ;)

And to make a run at Clemson, do they have to carry around a large rock for all the participants to touch after Communion?

Congratulations to Llamaguy, Skoaltrain, and the rest of the Stone Station crew.  Sorry I missed the show this year, but my Dad had the nerve to have heart by-pass surgery that week.  How inconsiderate of him!  Remember, he made me miss the Randolph-Macon game with his 80th birthday party.  If the old fart makes it to 90, I'm gonna have his party at Stone Station! ;D ;D

Great recognition for a great bunch of guys and girls who treat us to the best tailgate every week!  That's right, THE BEST.  BRING ON NEBRASKA, you Cornshuckers!
