pat, don't make it a priority. my post count isn't very important to me right now.

Several post mention BC's smaller recruiting class this year.  This seems to mirror the fact that the entire freshman class is smaller.  I think this by design due to retention rates, after the freshman year, being higher.  Like other small schools, big freshman classes that are happy with their school equals expensive campus expantion.  This growth may not fit the mission of the school.  Kid may have data.

BC's incoming class this year will have about 100 to 150 less students than last year.

Does Bridgewater scrimmage against Hargrave this week?

I've put a little blurp about it on my web site.

And for those interested, I posted the JV schedule on there as well;

Just a quick note that I have created a new poll as to which South Region conference will go deepest in the playoffs.  You have to vote to see the results, so get in there and vote!

Yeah, I wrote about him in my little blurp on my web site:

"Hargrave has 55 players, 17 of whom have already signed letters of intent to play at Division I-A schools next season.  The average size of Hargrave's nine offensive linemen is 6-foot-4, 304 pounds, while their six defensive linemen average 6-foot-3, 283 pounds.  The Eagles will particularly have their hands full with Vidal Hazelton.  The 6-3, 200-pound wide receiver from Staten Island, N.Y., is ranked as the 20th-best player (second amoung receivers) in the class of 2006 in the nation by Rivals.com.  Hazelton - who ran the 40 in 4.47 - will likely sign with Florida."

Hug

I'm ready to make my ODAC prediction.

BC, HSC, E&H  5-1

W&L 3-3
RMC, Guilford, Catholic 1-5

Sounds crazy.  Yes, I am!

No Way Snake! (a.k.a. HUG)  BC won't have a loss in the conference this year.  Might actually go undefeated and a first round bye.

Yes, I used to work on a chicken farm and have counted the eggs many times before they hatched.  Let's just say it all worked out!

you're not crazy (or maybe you are) but only one portion is a little questionable. EH going 5-1 would stir it up but the rest could very well go exactly as you say. I just think this year with the new coaches it will harder to predict. The only schools that have not had drama are the 2 top rungs. I would love to see somebody go into the playoffs this year with 2 dings. Interesting thought

Will have to get back to you on that one Hug. Barring no further injuries, I can see us going 10-0 (9-0) since GMU doesn't count) or 8-2. Will have a much better gauge after the Shenandoah game. I have seen BC practice 3 times now and know what they look like against each other just not how that relates to a gameday situation. My feeling is good but I always have guarded optimism when we are talking rookie signal callers.

Skoal, considering there are 32 teams in the playoffs this year, the only way to get a first round bye is to miss the playoffs ...  ;)
