Ryan,

You are forgiven my son......................Seriously, some of my best friends are VT grads (one even played for Tech and went on to play in the pro's) and we hassle each other unmercifully and right now I am on a terrible losing streak. However, we still love each other and have been friends for years. It is just like what I see on these boards. Folks have their teams and mess around with the opposition but yet we all respect each other and when we see each other at the games we have fun and enjoy the company and fellowship. Plus I have learned a lot in the past 3 years on these boards. At least I have learned who I can punch fun at and who not to direct comments to at all. ha-ha

If UVA keeps losing players because of grades and misbehavior they won't have enough to field a spring team, much less beat Tech this year.

Punching a little fun here and there is part of what keeps these boards interesting.....especially in the off-season!  :D

When it comes down to it, if Tech and UVa. are lining up across from each other, I'm pulling for Tech every time. But if the Cavs are playing someone out of state, you can bet I want the home-staters to win.

Same thing with the teams I cover in my column. If a mid-Atlantic team is playing someone from the NJAC or LL or ASC, I'm certainly hoping my region pulls out the W. I enjoy the broader comraderie and support to it all that obviously goes beyond that one team people are especially vested in.

How about if that Mid Atlantic team is playing the most recent NCAC champ?  ;D ;D

Well, sure, maybe there's ONE team that I might favor over the rest of the mid-Atlantic.....but rest assured that I while I'm rooting for that certain NCAC team, I'll still also be rooting for a good, close game  ;)

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

BC baseball and softball at home today.  Will be a nice evening to take a ballgame or two in.

Good seeing you out there yesterday my friend.

A reminder of one of many great things about Division III ... Kevin and I are out at the games talking and Coach Clark roles up (literally) on his bicycle and talks with us for awhile. Talk about D3 at its best.

Next home series for BC is March 29th. Both Softball and Baseball are home that day.  Come on out and take in a game or four.

You up for a spring baseball tailgate?  Rumor has it there could be a tent, a grill and a cooler in attendance for the doubleheader(s)

Please say it ain't so!!!!  :'( WSET is reporting that Scott Abell, head coach of the Amherst Lancers will likely resign tomorrow and become the new offensive coordinator at W&L.

Oil Can, Rumor is correct.  Stone Station is coming out of hiding during this early Spring.  The whole crew should be there.  Should be a fun time!

Snake, I'm looking at catching up with you.  It's been a while since we fellowshipped.

I haven't heard or seen much from Llamaguy?  Bo? You in, right?  Let's catch up and finalize the details.

Allsky, Yes it is.  I just saw the story on WSET while sitting down to dinner.  I too was surprised.  It will be interesting to see how it plays out.  Amherst County still has some studs coming back.  It will be an interesting 2008 for the Lancers.

Anyone else?! Let us know so we can plan enough food.

Ahh, an early spring Stone Station tailgate, and spring football practice just around the corner ... life is good. :)

Also, for Eagle fans looking for some offseason BC news, check my fansite. I attended the JMU pro day. Two Eagles performed very well.

hey stone station, how is everyone doing?  good to see that you are all getting together.  might have thought about driving down to see u'all, but we have tickets to montgomery gentry in a.c. that night.  only 5 months left until it all starts.  is the bridgewater schedule out yet, we have an off day on sept. 27.  we will be looking for something to do that weekend, wouldn't mind driving down to see you guys.  all is good up here, jason is working out and looking forward to his senior year.  we will be hooking up with cnu85 the first week since we travel to christopher newport.  i will keep in touch and keep you informed, not to much thought, dont want to give all the wesley secrets out, not much that they can keep hidden this year.  be safe and have a good spring and summer.

Word on the street is the Emory D coordinator Stan Watson has taken a job at Bowling Green as Safeties coach.

Same ten teams as last season, but the Quakers open with Greensboro on Sept. 6 and play Southern Virginia at home the first game in Oct.  First two games of the season are 7 pm starts and the SVU game may be on Friday night.  The ODAC schedule follows the normal baffling sequence with two at home and four on the road.  I'll ask again, what's so hard in a seven-team conference about everyone having 3 at home and 3 on the road?! Anyone, anyone?  lol

Good to hear all is well my friend! I'll be expecting a Top 5 pre season rating for the Wolverines. Sept 27th Bridgewater will be in your neck of the woods in Williamsport, PA playing Lycoming. Llama momma says yours truely will be sipping Corona's in Cancun that weekend so you can stand in for me in PA!  :D  Tell the kid I said hey and to keep throwing the fastball!  ;)

See everyone on the 29th!

Looks like Guilford's Assistant HC/Defensive Coordinator Michael Vite is the new HC at NNA.  Congratulations to Michael.  I wonder who'll now fill this slot in Greensboro?
