There are no guarantees in DIII, of course, but they have paid their deposits.  Welcome aboard, gentlemen!

Wes Dodson promoted to Defensive Coordinator at H-S. Adam Braithwaite leaving to join the staff at the University of Michigan.

That's odd that a school would (officially) release a list a incoming freshmen, especially so early.

I wish more schools would do this sort of thing, but it begs the question, does have Guilford have just four coming in? If that's all they have committed at this point, that's pretty bad. :-\

Committed in terms of paying their deposit so they can be legally named under NCAA rules? Is that unusual?

When I was applying to schools the application deadlines were early February. Don't think they demanded money until April at least. :)

Unusual in that Division III head coaches (and/or schools) don't put out "official" press releases on football recruits in March, much less only four players.

I could be wrong, but I remember seeing D-III schools announce their recruiting classes no earlier than late May, early June.

You asked if that was all that was committed at this point. That's what I thought was not unusual, that few having made a deposit.

I didn't read that much into it.  In talking to Coach Kiesel throughout the winter, I got the impression he's had a lot of interest and will see a significant number of freshmen at preseason practice.  I don't have a number, but it's certainly more than four.  :)

Get Llama to tell you which pills make you gain weight. Can't have that happening with football season approaching. :)
