I agree with you. I think HSC, RMC, Bridgewater, Guilford and W&L, will all compete for the championship. I don't see E&H or CU really being a factor BUT either one of those schools could pull an upset that just might help determine the champion. Should be another very exciting year in the ODAC.
Hopefully the champion will finish no worse than 9-1 and have an opportunity to host a first round playoff game.

I respectfully disagree. Although it's clear that everyone has a chance to compete for the ODAC title, there have to be favorites -- and five of the seven teams can't be favored.

IMO, the Tigers and Generals will be the two favorites. Everyone else is chasing them. The good thing is, most teams have their non-conference slate prior to their ODAC contests, so by October, we may have a better idea of who is the strongest.

At this point, because of the last couple of seasons and what teams lost from 2008 graduations, H-SC and W&L will be the teams to beat. R-MC has a lot of defensive vacancies to fill, and BC has 35 seniors to replace. And I'm sorry, but we've heard about how Guilford is getting better here, or changing something there -- only to have declining results;

2005 season - 4-2 ODAC record, gave up 35.8 ppg
2006 season - 3-3 ODAC record, gave up 28.9 ppg
2007 season - 2-4 ODAC record, gave up 35.5 ppg

Could they have a bounce back year in 2008? Absolutely. Especially with Vogelbach under center. But the same could be said for Catholic, with Ricca calling the shots. Or E&H with Booher taking the snaps.

You see? Anyone can and may have a good year next season. That's what makes offseasons so great. :)

BC has also beaten every team in the ODAC in the last two years.

Fact of the matter is preseason polls matter not; I believe HSC was picked to finish 5th last year by the coaches and finished 5-1 in conference play.
I see the conference being very competitive. The champion will probably end up being the team with the best home schedule. I know HSC travels to both W&L and Bridgewater and that is going to be tough.

     Another interesting tidbit will be how the new Scott Abell offense at W&L will turn out. He had enough talent at ACHS the last few years to compete for the ODAC title.  :D Wonder how things will translate over the mountain in Lexington. I wish him well except on October 18th. 8)

Any word on who the DC at E&H will be in 2008?
