Thank you for your service to this nation and for us all.  I also thank you for your perspective.  Sometimes we get way to caught up in our own little issues.  What you are doing with your service makes us all proud of all of the men and women in the Armed Services.  Thanks again.

Dag gone right.  Thanks from me too!

Thanks Stone Station for your hospitality yesterday. As always, it was first class. Good talking with Skoal, Religion Major, Olinemom, Oil Can, Snake, BCEagle, & Peggy (not sure if she post). Hope I didn't miss anybody. I know some of the rest of you I talked with probably do but don't know your online name. I now have faces to go with a few more posters.
Since we covered the analysis of the game pretty thoroughly yesterday, I will leave it short and to the point. Whew.. take the tough road W Tigers and move on!! Better days are ahead for the Eagles.
Oh...and one more thing. Llama...you have known for how long that BC and H-S played on October 4th?!?! Once a BC/HS game is lost, it can never be recovered. You can go to Mexico any ole time!!  ;) :D

You all are very welcome for the Stone Station hospitality. Thanks to all the Stone station regulars and  the Bc campus security personal, we pulled off a very good spread.
It was a very emotional day on the field. That 4th quarter it was hard to shoot photos with the excitement of the game.
It was nice seeing all of the d3football posters again, plus the parents of the players.
Until the  next game .Everyone be safe

Congrats to Hampden Sydney for cracking the Top 25 as the #24 team in the nation.

Sounds like the HSC-BC was another great game. Sorry I missed it (wedding), wished I could have been at both. for years it was very one sided, and now it is competetive. Will next year be homecoming at HSC??

Food for thought:

Guilford is 20-15 in the Vogelbach/Keisel era.  That may not seem like much, but I think there is only one stretch of four consecutive seasons where the team was .500 or above each year (during the mid-eighties).  Granted, the 2008 team needs 2 more wins to match that achievement (now 5-5, 6-4, 6-4, 3-2), but it's definitely a rare thing in Guilford's less-than-stellar 115-year football history.  At any rate, this group of seniors is guaranteed to win as many (or more) as they lose!

No....unless something has changed, they rotate W&L and E&H for Homecoming.

HSC homecoming is always the second Saturday in October ... the Bridgewater game is played on the 1st Saturday in October.. Unless the ODAC changes the schedule the BC vs. HSC game will not be played on homecoming weekend.

Congratulations to the Tigers. I knew they would have their hands full @ BC. It appears the young BC team has grown up and probably staged to play very well the remainder of the season.

Good luck to all this coming weekend !!!!!

I thought that one year it was, but it doesn't matter - it is still becoming a great rivalry. I'm looking forward to a big Tiger win this weekend to help me observe my 35th HSC reunion.

I wouldn't bet what's left of my 401k on it, but I believe it was 1972 or 1973.

All the talk about an undefeated season does is put a bigger target on the Tigers each week.  A good team worries about the next game.  It is the most important game of the season.  It is way to early to speak of an undefeated season.  The Gamenotes from this week talk about the last time the Tigers were 5-0.  They lost the next game and 4 of the next 6.  Especially in the ODAC this year, any team can win on any given Saturday.  I want the best for the Tigers.  I just don't want the players to be reading headlines.

I simply answered the question that was asked.  I spec the target on their back is already pretty big ;) If the Tigers need any more motivation to play Saturday than what happened at Emory last year, then shame on them. Not to mention what happened in the 4th Q at Bridgewater last Saturday. ;D
