Allsky, is there any way you can suggest to your friends announcing on WFLO to give the score a little more often. Maybe I'm being too picky, but I was listening online for almost seven minutes, including 2 punts, before the first score report. Even after the TD that put the Tigers ahead they went to commercial without giving the score, merely saying HSC was leading.

I had that problem with a game I was on last year, too.

I will shoot Cannon an email with the recommendation.

Hey, everyone.  I know this is a football forum, but watch this video to see the only goal scored in Guilford's Sept. 9 women's soccer win over Greensboro.  Be patient, it's about 2 min 25 sec into the piece - and worth it.  Besides, you get to see the new look at Armfield Athletic Center.  Enjoy!

I get the play beginning at about 2:13 and I think that the goal is from 44 yds out!

And this old track-miler wonders, "Where is the the track?"   ???    :)

With NC Wesleyan's win over #24 Salisbury, Hampden Sydney should move up a considerable amount in the top 25 poll voting.

I agree, I think they should move up. They are palying great footbal! However, the NCWC  HSC saw in the first game is not as bad as  the NCWC that showed against SU. I don't know if the results would have been different against HSC if the Bishops had come to play, but I do think the score would have been closer! I take nothing away from HSC. You deserverd the win and I congratulate you, but the NCWC that played yeaterday was by far a much better team than the one you saw!. However, I do think you deserve to move up!
Once again, Congrats form an old Bishop!
The only easy day was yesterday

Thanks, Ralph.  A lot of Guilfordians (including me!) and local residents are unhappy about the loss of the track with the stadium renovations.   I was a regular there for late afternoon or weekend walks/runs.  It's especially perplexing with the college reinstating track & field this year, but the Quakers are practicing/competing at nearby AHA (American Hebrew Academy), which, by the way, has soccer and track facilities better than most DIII's I've ever seen!

What happened to all the Bridgewater folks? Could be off to a 3-0 start

This is BC life AK (after Kid).  If he could post, he's be leading the charge for sure!  Thanks for checking in from time to time, kid.  Hope the Wahoos can get a win soon.

Extremely quiet from the BC folks. Makes me think all of those Eagles fans were nothing but aliases for the kid.

LOL! Yeah he was kind of like E.F. Hutton in here. Oh no, I think I just showed my age.  :D

This BC fan is busy with a daughter in U12 Travel Soccer. Guardedly optimistic about the 2009 Eagles. Should know more after the next 3 weeks. So far injuries are not on our side so will take a wait and see approach. ;)

Ditto with 12u softball.  2-0 is much better than 0-2, but we understand that tougher competition is on the horizon.

Looks like they won't win a game until Duke and that isn't for certain. (Duke beat them last year). They need to can Groh right away and begin thinking about the future. If not they will go another year without major recruits.

If BC can get another close win at Ferrum then the Lycoming at Bridgewater matchup will take on a much greater significance for us.
It would be kind of a measuring stick for the Eagles program despite the Lycoming loss to Rowan.
