monarchs roll over ehc 55-21 and completely dominated them - montgomery might be a great coach eventually, but he's got a lot of work to do - i like the ehc series and hope it continues...class program and they really played hard in the 2nd quarter when they were down 27-0...came back to make it 27-14 before mc stepped back on the gas - good luck the rest of the way to the wasps

If you couldn't listen to the game, BC was helped a lot in the first half by HSC. The fumble on the 3 yard line early was big. Favret deciding to GO FOR IT on 4th and short IN HIS OWN TERRITORY TWICE in the first half backfired both times and lead to BC Field Goals both times (I didn't see that mentioned in the HSC press release on the game). Also, BC blocked a FG in the first half.

I was right on the sideline when Awkard caught the short pass with a minute to go. He should have gotten 1-5 yards MAX, as 2 HSC defenders were just feet away from him, and in front of him. He juked one way and one guy fell on his butt, cut back towards the field and the other guy went off balance, and then it was off to the races, a 39 yard TD. My only regret on the play is that while I was video taping it on a camera phone to post on this board, I ended up closing the phone in all of the excitement before saving it.

Ricca can throw the ball on the money. I was once again impressed with his arm and accuracy. For the first time this year, I was impressed with the BC secondary. I noticed 3 long passes on the day from Ricca to a WR in single coverag...each time the ball was on the money, and each time the BC DB looked up in time and got his arm on the ball just as it arrived. BC's DB's did it a 4th time on the 3rd to last play of the game...a ball thrown into the endzone, but that was a double coverage play where the DB's were in a better position for the ball than the WR.

Great atmosphere for a game at HSC.

Thoughts:

1. Great atmosphere. Awesome.

2. Ricca was rattled after the 1st qtr. and threw a bunch of balls up for grabs. Our defense played well and pressured him a lot. I think my pregame analysis of JD was pretty accurate. Now that this game is over he can continue on with his PS2-like performances.

3. Faveret's ego gets in the way of him being a good coach. You can't go for it every 4th down against good teams. You just can't. You may get a few but ultimately you put your team in bad situations, flip field position, and change momentum.

4. HSC wr's are very good. Big, fast, catch everything.

5. Again, great job of stepping up by the BC defense. Saved the offense from a very slow start.

If they win the rest of their ODAC games and beat Johns Hopkins they would have done so against a tougher schedule than in 2003 when the Tigers were 9-1 and missed the playoffs. Also, there are 4 more at large bids now with no bye week for the #1 seeds. Not sure about going for it on 4 th down in your own territory in the 1st half but that is what Favret elected to do.

Great job today Eagles, now it is time for no letdowns, focus time. Wore my authentic jersey to a semi-formal dinner tonite, got a few looks. It was nasty because my caddy wore it all day. Also collected from 3 hsc alum. Was this game on local TV in Roanoke, would like to get another video tape from them. Proud of the the BC crowd at the game. Thanks for being there.
