It's a great day to be a Jacket!  The Faulkner to Peoples connection seems to be in fine working order again this week.  Faulkner has a huge day throwing for 5 touchdowns.  Earl Peoples finishes the day with 17 catches, 170 yards and 2 tds.  This has to be one of the most  explosive offenses to dawn a Jacket jersey in quite a while.  Thaddeus Scruggs has another great game as well running up 90+ yards and a score.  But enough about the offense that put up 400+ yards of otfense....AGAIN!

How about I show that defense some love.  Defense does a great job to holding the Shenandoah offense to under 150 yards total offense, if my memory serves me correctly.  That's an outstanding effort by those guys.  Great game defense.

Anyone else think there are two teams on a collision again for the title on that second Saturday in November?

I'm certainly inclined to agree with you, but let's keep in mind that Bridgewater or E&H might have something to say about it before we get there.
By the way, sorry about the bum steer last week about the CC board. I thought that they'd be more willing to give you some insight (not that your guys ended up needing it).

I will wholeheartedly second that, although there is a VERY long way to go! Jackets looked great on both sides of the ball, and  it was a great day for football in Ashland! Saw a great game by the Jackets, saw a few old friends, and the only bad thing I have is a sunburn from sitting in the stands with no sunblock!....:-0 ....Go Jackets!

Was looking forward to see how SU's offense would go while being at full-tilt with their premiere RB's of (Kyle and Roberts) and a very respectable QB in Wright but RMC's defense completely shutdown SU while allowing only 143yds of total offense (71) rushing and (72) passing.

Congrats to RMC.

Is the ODAC conference that much better that USA-South which has a overall record of (4-16) with 3 of those wins coming vs. Guilford?

R-MC Yellow Jackets ranked #25 in latest D3 Football poll......BZZZZZZZ......Go Jackets!!

I can't remember a time when both the football and basketball teams were ranked nationally. ???  I'd have to guess '80s when we were DII in hoops.

Yes, I think it is and, by default, it looks like a long season for the Quakers.

We do alot of talk around here about players their impact on a team.  I want to tip my hat to Coach Arruza and the job that he is done turning around that program.  He took a 2-8 program in 2006 to a Nationally ranked team with an ODAC championship on the books in 4 years.  I believe that is a testament to his recruiting, his coaching style and his committment to the RMC community.

Keep up the good work!

'08 Congrats on a great start..! RMC is out of the roof. HSC and the Eagles aren't too bad either. In the ODAC, you never know who will show up on Saturday. It should be a WILD finish!! Looking forward to seeing the Jackts in Emory in a couple of weeks. Meanwhile...it's BEAT METHODIST!!... wm

R-MC will have some tough road tests this year, but now that they're ranked, they will get everyone's best shot.  We will have a test with Frostburg this weekend.  Those guys are 1-2 but one of those losses was to Wesley, and their win was against CNU.

I am enjoying R-MC football immensely right now, and agree Arruza has done a good job.  GO JACKETS!

You're absolutely correct Jacketlawyer-there are all kinds of hurdles to jump over this season before we can even start to THINK about the H-SC Tigers!!Frostburg this weekend, away games at W&L and Emory and Henry,a home game with Bridgewater the week b4 H-SC, just to name a few.We can't overlook ANYONE!!I was most impressed with Coach A's defense last weekend, and the Faulkner to Peoples combo is one of the best in the country right now-EVERYONE in the stands knew at times where the ball was going and they STILL couldn't stop the Austin to Earl combo! Throw the ball anywhere near him and it's money in the bank, but Austin put it right on the money most of the time.Is it our year?? Maybe.....but only time will tell....the good thing is this year is that we have excellent coaching and also excellent senior leadership, which will help over the long season.....BZZZZZZZZZ......GO JACKETS!

Injuries have hit E&H early in the season. First they lost ther back up running back Adam Pugh w/ a broken collarbone. Last week in practice they lost their starting tackle Brad Lester w/ a torn acl, however he is planning on returning this season bc he has no more redshirts. And the last game against UVA wise they lost their receiver that look like would draw some attention off jennnings in Corey Ware as he tore his acl and lcl and is out for the year. Hopefully this wont effect them too bad and they can bounce back.

The Jackets are having a great year and so is Faulkner and Peoples.  What does RMC have in the hopper to take their place or will they have a tremendous drop off in the coming years.
