ACLs LCL collarbones....yikes EH sounds like a CCP, AKA Casualty collection point in a rifle company. Hard to come back in the same year with a "blowed up" ACL. Wish him speed

The Jackets are having a great year and so is Faulkner and Peoples.  What does RMC have in the hopper to take their place or will they have a tremendous drop off in the coming years.

Wish I knew.  I never have any idea who's going to be on the roster until they post it each year.  As I'm from Lynchburg, I'm always glad to see some of our local guys go to Macon and play football.  But if I had to guess, I think Arruza has his system in and running.  This took a while, and of course, every program will have up and down years but I believe Aruzza's program will stay consistent, much like the way Marty Favret's Tigers have been.
Or so I hope. . . . ! 8-)

I don't think we will drop off at all at QB.   #9 - Joel Elswick is from Richlands. He will be just fine.  I coach at Brookville in Lynchburg and I have seen Joel play when we played them in the state semi's.  I have to agree I think coach Arruza has recruiting dialed in.  I was impressed with him and coach gray while they were recruiting Zach.

Is Elswick going to be the guy?  They have the other Sophomore (Sellers) coming in as the backup.  What is the take on Sellers?

They also have the 6'5" QB out of Benedictine who is a Freshman.  What is the take on him?

MARKVA65

The only one I know much about is Elswick.  I will be at the game tomorrow and try to get more info.  Anybody else going to be there?  We will be in spot 84 in the brock center.

Faulkner with 3 TD passes in 1st half -Peoples scores 3 times in 1st half, 2 TD passes and a punt return(also an electrifying play on a reverse)I don't know what to say-either Frostburg is terrible or we're the real deal!!We're at Emory and Henry next saturday-lets see if the Jackets can put together a big conference win on the road! Can someone tell me what the heck is going on with flying helmets this year. Is it because of the long hair. Is it that they are not cranking down the chin straps? I am waiting for the time when a head will be in the helmet. I wached 8 hats come off in one game today. Someobdoy is going to get KILT. Did anyone see this today.

I have seen this as well.  Now that you mention it, I do seem to see it more often the past few years.   No idea why it is more common.  One reason may be the design of the helmet.  Some of the new helmets are so comfortable they do not sqeeze on the head as much and the ear pads do not come under the ears.  So when a hit that may not have knocked a helment off that was padded inside instead of air, or the ear pads may have added some resistance, the helmet just pops off.  I feel it is more dangerous for the players as well.

ODAC Teams are showing up in the polls:

Hampden-Sydney (3-0 prior to yesterday's victory) is at #22 in the AFCA Coaches' Poll and at #29 in the D3Football.com poll.  Best win prior to yesterday was probably their opening 45-30 win over Averett.

Randolph-Macon (3-0 prior to yesterday's victory) is at #25 in the D3Football.com poll and at #36 in the AFCA Coaches' Poll.  Best win prior to the voting was a 4-point victory over Johns Hopkins.

Emory & Henry (3-0 prior to yesterday's victory) is at #45 in the AFCA Coaches' Poll.

Bridgewater (2-0 prior to yesterday's victory) had only eked out small wins over weak opponents (St. Vincent and Shenandoah)

It appears that there will be some 9-1's sitting during the playoffs this year

Anyone see Caleb Jennings' monster, zig-zag run of 135yds that only counted for 45 against Methodist???  Find an Emory friend on Facebook and check it out.  Not sure if it is or can be made to go on Youtube.

Looks like a makings of a classic game down at Emory for Homecoming.  GO EMORY!

This may be redundant as it appears this site may have contributed to the Youtube posting.  My apologies if so...

It was great to be down at the fence when Caleb changed directions AGAIN and had a wall of blockers available if he needed them....he didn't.
