I had to project the Quality of Win Index.

If both HSC and W&J wins out, I am projecting HSC at 9.7 and W&J at 9.56. Neither would be great, but HSC would have the edge.

And throw in a one loss Ferrem if they only lost to CNU and they would be at ~ 9.45.

Pretty tight!

This post is on a personal note, and i apologize for putting it on this port board.  But, I was wondering if anyone that was around at the BC vs. Sydney game Saturday during the pregame festivities could email me or let me know somehow if they feel I was mistreated or if they feel I got what i deserved.  I am trying to find witnesses to help me with what happened because I feel that I was wrongly arrested and mistreated.  I would appreciate if anyone would tell me what they think, and they can be honest with me.  If you could do this, I would really appreciate it.

My email is bdh002@bridgewater.edu

Thanks and sorry to bother this posting board.

wow,

Playoff talk with 5 games left. That is the essence of looking ahead. But, I guess fans are allowed to do it.

Just padding my stats. Gotta make starter by week 10.

pakownr97

some of us can only dream of being starters.  I can only hope to be a second-stringer (or maybe benchwarmer) by week 10.

As long as I make Varsity.

Slow week, no BC game.
GO BC!

I'll say this because I was critical of the BC defense coming in to the HSC game:  I thought the defense really grew up a lot on Saturday.  Looked like guys were playing a lot more confident.  Also liked the much more aggressive play calling.  Other than the 1st possession, HSC had to fight and earn everything they got.  Great job and really something to build on.

Good game this past Saturday...BC earned it in a hard fought game. They made the big plays when it counts. It was also nice to meet llama and kid pre-game. Its always nice to meet class-act football fans. I see there are at least a few good people over there at BC.  ;) Good luck with the rest of the season...Hopefully we can get 2 ODAC teams in the playoffs.

Tigers- keep the heads up and the chests out, and play one game at a time...long season left.

One thing I was dissappointed in was one of BC's assistant coaches leading about 10 players out to take a picture surrounding, and on the Tger in the corner of the endzone.  Not a classy move, but with all being considered, I've seen worse.  ...and yes, when you win you can get away with that kind of stuff anywhere I guess.

Excellent post Miz. I agree 100%. I just thought yesterday how much different, and different being better the Defense played. I was especially proud of the play of the secondary Saturday. Those guys have always had the speed to stay on the guys hip but never looked for the ball. On Saturday with the exception of the first series 48 yrd reception, they played the ball not the receiver and "got the job done" with the new technique. Continue to perfect that coverage style and improve the D and this team could shock a few people later in the season. ;)

2,
I understand your point. I also wouldn't make to much of it as if anything its a compliment of how tough BC knows this rivaly is and how much this win meant to even a team who had won for the last 6 meetings. I saw as big a smile on Coach Clark's face as I have seen in quite a while, that includes playoff wins. This game meant everything to BC b'cus they knew a loss would end their chance for a sixth straight playoff appearance. They just weren't ready to give up on this season yet.

Tiger2,
My man!  It was a great game to watch.  Good partying with you too.  How's that lip?  hahaha...Just kiddin!

Congrats to BC on the win.  We definitely need more match-ups in the conference like the one that we've had with BC-HSC in the last few years. All-in-all a great tail-gate on both sides as well.  If any of you were present, you may have seen Tiger2, several other recent football alums and myself, doing what tail-gaters do, until about 10pm...Sorry I didn't take the opportunity to meet up with you guys (llama, kid, skoal...etc.)...playoffs maybe?

Question:  How much weighting does the point scored to points against play a part in playoff selection?

Alright, I was off in my prediction of a win by wide margin for the Eagles. Glad to hear the D made some improvements.

Apparently, Jake had the nerves in the 1st half and didn't perform up to recent standards. How much of that was due to the Tigers pressure and coverage or was he just over throwing open receivers like he did vs. McDaniel?

Final Question? Will the Eagles have the maturity to avoid an overtime game (or loss :o) the rest of the season?

xbcdad

Congrats to the other ODAC winners and teams that have shown improvement. I'm seeing some positive indicators at GC and CUA in particular. W&L continues the Jeckyl and hyde impersonation.  But watch out for those teams that have been finding away to consistently loose by a close margin and have a lot of young guys coming back. The next few weeks could be tough to pick in the ODAC.

Historical note: Ferrum was the first BC victory after the 0-10 year.

Prediction: CUA  will make it 3 deep at the top of the ODAC in the by next season and might even beat HSC this year. I'm basing that on SOS and performance in those games showing weekly improvement. What ya think?

Jeremybozz

Catholic play this year. It should be interesting.

TIGER27

So Pat, I know this question comes up every year...But, if point differential doesn't play a part, if the Tigers put up a ton of points every game from here on out, will that help improve their chances?

Wet ball. (covered in a previos post) Sounds like an excuse but came from a reliable source and the misses in the first half were short hops & balls that definitely were not spirals. Would have had to have been a seizure as opposed to nerves. ;D He did miss Copeland for a score early in the 2nd half but came back on the next drive and hit him for the 38yrd TD.

Yes! This team grew-up alot after the McDaniel second half. All is again right in Bridgewater's House. Winning is the only accepted outcome!
