I agree with you, abnrgr. I see some of these HS's and I know they meant business on the football field. Call Coach R and tell him to go to Havelock! I lived in Craven County for a while, so I know you're right!

Well, Coach R. has a 0-0 record at Guilford as of today, so I'm sure your recommendations would be appreciated no matter how many years since you last coached!

I had a really good coversation last week with Guilford's new coach, Chris Rusiewicz, as part of Kickoff 2011 reporting.

I flat out told him -- and I absolutely meant it -- that in five years of doing preseason write-ups on teams, I'd never spoken with an outside hire who was so well versed in his players. He was prepared to give me specifics on almost every last individual. It was impressive!!

And, he's going to be doing a lot of shuffling, but I'm not going to spoil the surprise

You'll have to buy Kickoff to see all the details.

Bottom line: I'm really looking forward to seeing what Rusievicz is going to do! He's got a great handle on things!

Good to hear, Ryan. I've met Coach Rusiewicz a couple of times and I was not surprised by your positive assessment. Even though Guilford's coming off an 0-10 season, there is optimism and anticipation for 2011. Go Quakers!
