Never seen it run like that before. I would saved that one for later in the conference. If they work, they work once.

H-Nova said it was closer than the score indicated.

Good looking digs too for GC-Q

Centre runs out the clock on the Generals. A tough game and a disappointing loss, but too many mistakes, on the road, against a good team, will do that. I still like the Generals to finish behind H-S in the ODAC, but with 2 losses I don't think we'll see two bids this year. Last year the Generals got off to a bad start and rallied but it was a young team. The kind of mistakes they made tonight are tough with the seasoned squad. Congrats to Centre, they really did well in the second half and the Generals, especially on D, looked out of ideas for how to stop them. 42-35 the Colonels muscle past W&L.

I agree that the Generals now have to win the ODAC title to get to the NCAAs.  Their SOS won' be high enough to get in if they finish with 2 losses.

You should put this question on the ACFC/Independents board; there are a couple of regular posters from Huntington.

It took me a while to get used to it also, but the correct spelling is "Huntingdon" if you google or go to their website.

you can also google "the day Hasanova went Supernova" if GC-Q does not go at least 500 this year

When he does he will collapse back himself creating sigularity that will suck us all in :)

That's Mr. Singularity to you, abnrgr.  The gravitational pull of a Black Hole of Knowledge is awesome, isn't it?  lol  I thought about "Supernova" for the vanity plate on my car, but couldn't stand the thought of misspelling it since the NC DMV only allows a maximum of eight characters!  :)  What do you do?

The Quakers are making progress this season, but I realistically don't think a .500 season is in the cards - now, next year, I have higher hopes!

i'm certain that you meant that teams in the odac are "far too smart", right :)

after seeing guilford have some success in the running game against mu and watching mu scrimmage in the preseason, i think the fact that rmc ran all over mu is more a byproduct of personnel than gray matter

on the d-line, the monarchs have a couple of guys that can really get after the qb, but are smallish and not built to stop a power running game - the same can be said for most of the mu lb's, who average around 205 lbs - you can devise a scheme to stop the running game, but eventually the players have to be able to execute...if they are getting out-muscled at the point of attack, scheme (smarts) only does so much

all of this is why i am glad to see that ehc is throwing the ball around a lot more this year than in the past...i think the best chance for a monarch victory is when the other team throws the ball - should be a fun game on saturday...if any ehc fans on the board are coming down, drive safe - should be a nice sloppy field with lots of mud on the uni's...perfect football conditions :)

I am headed your way tomorrow. Looking forward to a great game. Will the rain move out by game time? Waspers dropped a heartbreaker last week. You probably have seen the punt return video. That was not what beat us. Could not get anything going on offense in the second half. Team is pretty healthy, save a couple of bruises and sprains. Have a couple of guys that can run the ball and a bunch that can catch. I think that we have a good o-line this year. Average weight is 271. I am hoping for a good game. I'll be the one there with the blue shirt and yellow hat! Hope to see you tomorrow. WM

Huntingdon College has a pretty good offense, but not the best pass defense. We hope to hang with HSC as long as we can. Last time we played in Montgomery yall won, but it was a good game.

if any of yall make the drive, please stay safe

W&L up 10-0 on Alma late in the 1st. Unfortunately the Generals are still having turnover problems. First possession ended in a fumble. Luckily Alma has also thrown a pick. Alma with a long TD called back from holding. Fortunately Alma's passing attack is sputtering with a couple long drops and some big overthrows...

jknezek

Turnovers continue to plague W&L. Generals fumble leads to good field position for Alma and they punch in a TD. W&L had shut down Alma's last couple drives, but the turnover definitely breathed some life into the Scots.
