jk, relax ;D  i know you cant, but from an outsider this is fun to watch.

Actually I'm pretty relaxed. W&L has left it on the field and that makes me happy. I'd like them to win, but both teams have earned this game and you might as well flip a coin to decide who is better right now.

jknezek

Tigers miss a 43 yard field goal on 4th and 11. W&L needs points to win in the bottom half of the 4th overtime.

jknezek

HSC forces 4th and 5 from the 20. If you read what I wrote about the defenses looking beat, please erase it. Both defenses in this 3rd period have been big. W&L calls timeout.

Oh well, better luck next year. Bravo to W&L for coming up big when it mattered.

Heinsohn kicks a 37 yard field goal to win the game. 45-42.

I'm sad. Neither team deserved to lose, but that's how it goes. The Tigers were everything W&L could handle and both teams got some breaks and some failures. Heck of a game. If you weren't entertained by that game, you can give up on football.

nice win for W&L.  showed a lot of guts coming back from 17 - 0 early in second.  fun game to watch.  generals win next week, do they get the AQ?

W&L gets the AQ, even if they lose next week. They'd win any possible tie-breaker, given their wins over Guilford, HSC, and RMC.

Good job Bow Ties and Quakes. I picked CU but good to see some conference balance and of course a Hasanova defiberation

I guess Hasanova will have to be sedated this PM. ;)

Algeron-Where does the ties go. Let me guess Mount or Wesley :)

Quakers played solid in all three phases and top CUA 24-10.  This means GC is guaranteed a .500 season and a winning record in the ODAC.  Quite an improvement over two years ago.  :)  Beautiful day for football in NC!

That's possible, although I'm thinking probably not Mount for the first round. Wesley is more likely. To be honest, W&L as the ODAC rep will play mildly better with the seedings than HSC would have. W&L, provided they don't lose next week, will have a win over an RRO, Centre lost them the chance to have 2 today. F&M doesn't look like a bad loss since they beat JHU this week, maybe another "result" versus an RRO if W&L gets lucky. W&L's SOS is going to be pretty good. They are in the 40s now, might move a bit higher.

There are so many possibilities, but I think W&L, with a decent SOS and a decent resume, may get a 6 seed, possibly a 5. Although it will be hard to tell. So it depends on whether the committee goes 4 or 8 team pods. W&L will probably do better in an 8 team pod situation.

I think the best case at this point is Waynesburg wins out and the Generals go there. Waynesburg moved up a bit on their bye week by virtue of JHU losing to F&M. I can see an undefeated Waynesburg running as a 3 in an 8 team "south" bracket. UMHB and Wesley on top, JHU at 4, a "C" at 5 and then W&L at 6.

Predicting that is about as likely to come true as predicting the next major earthquake, but I can see something like it happening. I can also see W&L as a 4th seed in a 4 team Pod that includes a 2 like Wesley, Cortland, or a power midwest conference within 500 miles.

The one thing that makes W&L slightly more unattractive as the ODAC champion is it is that 90 or so miles north of HSC, opening up that many more teams as possible opponents.

Not sedated, but wondering how in the heck CUA beat HSC earlier this season?   :o

The same way Bridgewater beat W&L. HSC and W&L were ridiculously flat on those days, coming off big games the week before, and the underdogs played good, solid, low mistake football. Exactly the kind of games that dominant teams manage to win, both W&L and HSC managed to lose. Welcome to the bottom of the playoff bracket, again, ODAC champion!

Uggh. Drives me nuts...
