jk, you have to be happy with the d3 bracket if it would happen.  trip to cortland is about as good as it could get for W&L.  it is going to be very interesting to see how the brackets shape up.  the south will be lucky to get 1 pool c bid if LA Coll gets in, i believe they should.

W&L should be in that 5/6 range so that's about right. It's at least within the realm of possibility of winning. I wonder if anyone in the NJAC runs the option? If they go by the game tape from this week alone, they will be very surprised. Coach Abell definitely ran some funky stuff this week instead of our usual offense. It showed in how we played, but if it gives us a little bit of a surprise it will be worth it for whoever we face.

We'll see. Mock projections are just that. When they actually come out we'll know if I'm going to be pleased or not. But Cortland, the MAC champion, the CC or the PAC champion are all winnable in my opinion. Not to say they are easy or that W&L would be favored, but I wouldn't look at that matchup and immediately groan like I would some others.

Macon played an outstanding game.  Holding the ball for 45 minutes will definitely help you win.  In '09, we only had the ball for 17 minutes and won, but I guess that extra 2 minutes really did it for the Jackets haha.

I believe that Kenny Fryman went out with a bang and made his case for D.P.O.Y. with 19 tackles and a forced fumble.

 Congrats to the Jackets....they were the better team yesterday. I was not at the game but listened to Cannon, Rob, and Scott do a great job as always. Professional commentators.....perhaps not......"goobers"....hardly. Rob Stanley....while not quite as eloquent as Cannon....has forgotten more football than most of us will ever know. My only beef with Rob is I wish he would learn to put the "d" in Hampden.  As some of you know.....he was a terror on the field for Ferrum and R-MC. I have known all three of these  gentlemen for 35+ years.....and I assure you there was not a grain of disrespect intended. Calling the comment  "borderline racist" is complete crap. They also spoke very highly of Coach Arruza during that same segment. IMO.....spending energy being concerned about the event of Tuesday night on the H-SC campus would be a far better use of time if concerned about racism.

Well I won't say W&L got shafted since they are a 2 loss team, but having to go to Hobart was definitely one of the worst outcomes. 459 miles and you end up playing a team that went 10-0. In a 4 team pod, the Generals are the 4th seed, which was what I feared. Having 2 losses is just killer.

Respect is earned. The ODAC hasn't earned any in the postseason since Bridgewater stopped making the playoffs.

Completely agree with Pat. The ODAC is 0-7 and they keep putting forward 2 loss champions. When you are a 2 loss team in the playoffs, you are going to be a bottom seed. Somehow the ODAC needs to get a 10-0 or 9-1 team one of these days with a decent SOS. The conference can't afford to have the champion losing twice or this is what happens.

I'm proud of the Generals season and they are going to have to go to Hobart and play really well to pull this one out. But a lot of the problem was the last drive of the opening game and just the complete no-show at Bridgewater. It's not the NCAA's fault that W&L dropped those games.

I have been an ODAC fan since the conference was created and would love to see H-SC or another ODAC team in Salem again but I completely agree with Pat on this one too! At least W&L isn't going to Alliance!  Hopefully, the "Abell Option" will be clicking. GO GENERALS!

Maybe they don't have long, but I believe we will be the 4th option team they have faced this year. Since they are 10-0, I think we can agree they have had some success against the option so far. It's going to be a very hard game for W&L, especially after the long ride.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, 8-2 does you no favors in the playoffs!
