Small world after all, huh?
Yeah, they're some good fellas.

I was about $4k from being an ODACer (H-SC) with a lot of my high school buddies and they all resented the fact they had to take rhetoric. At Maryville we had Comp (same general thing from what I've been told-- 1 semester of writing and 1 semester of public speaking) and then an undergraduate thesis. I was an econ guy myself. Wrote what seemed like a textbook on the Icelandic meltdown with about half of it being regressional analysis. The regression was NOT fun.

T-Bone, that you?!

I have class all weekend. I have not had time to use toilet paper. Okay I did. ;)

What chance does Hasa have in order to travel in his Nova for a playoff game this year? JZnezek? Throw me a bone. I'll check my BB later.

Good luck to everyone NOT to have a injury on their team!!
Never shall I leave a fallen comrade

10-15% unless he's willing to drive to Alliance or Belton. At that point it becomes 20-25%...

Game time is getting ever so close. You still picking HSC over your Gennies by 14 to 17 points ?

Yep. I'm hopeful the Generals will pull off an upset, but since I'd label it an upset, logic says HSC should take the prize. The 14-17 points is just because the Generals offense has struggled so much. The defense, while better, just can't be on the field for 35-40 minutes and not give up 35 points.

All that being said... TAKE THOSE TIGERS DOWN A PEG GENERALS!
Sorry, Tiger fans, but pure unadulterated selfishness says I have to root for a W&L victory.  :)

I doubt SEC or ACC message boards use phrases like "unadulterated selfishness", but ODAC fans do. I like it.  Impeccable command of the English language and diction, sirs.

Do you know how many Alabama freshman football players it takes to change a light bulb?

Sorry, that is a sophomore level course.

WAR EAGLE!   ;)

I've thought that was you for a while now.  You've hinted some things over time.

Christ Almighty... do yall work for the NSA? You boys got me cornered here.

Yes. I am proud to say I went to Fuqua School and was part of the 50th graduating class.

That should tell you may age, socioeconomic status, and ethnicity, but things have changed over the last several years.

It will always be Prince Edward Academy to me....I'm a proud graduate of York Academy, which has been closed for some time now, but I have a lot of love for the small, private schools of the VCC.  A lot of great memories....

If Guilford finds a way to make the NCAA playoffs, I'll find my way to Ohio or Texas or wherever the NCAA says go!  :)

W&L needs some help from HSC. The HSC passing game needs to sputter, W&L needs to hold HSC under 30 points, max, and the Generals need some turnovers and to be out in front early. This isn't a Generals team like the last few years where scores can come quick on multiple drives to get you back in a game. I think HSC by 14 to 17 pts.

RMC should take BC. The caveat here is if RMC is looking ahead to The Game or BC finally lives up to some potential now that they got a conference win. RMC by 10. Guilford at Catholic is fascinating. Catholic is better than their conference record, Guilford (in my opinion) is not as good as their conference record. If Catholic can get out in front, I expect the Cardinals to win. Probably not a popular pick, but we'll see how a young team picks itself up after last week's disappointment. I just can't help but think the next two years are Guilford's time to shine. Catholic by 7-10.

I notice you left off E&H at Shenandoah. This is actually an interesting game. I kind of like Shenandoah here, but until they can prove they can win games that aren't fluky, I'll stick with E&H trying to stay out of the ODAC cellar. E&H by 3-7.

And that reminds me I have to go make my pick'em picks!

Geez. I'm feeling pretty prescient this week so I'm going to pat myself on the back. In the first paragraph W&L did none of the things I said they needed to do to win and lost by 13. Bridgewater came alive and made it a very close game, but it seemed like RMC WAS looking ahead and still eeked out a win. Good for them. The Game becomes a de-facto championship game as many of us thought at the beginning of the season.

I'm sorry Hasa and Algernon, but I saw that one coming. This was the most confident I had felt in a Guilford game since Greensboro and it played out about how I expected. Catholic won by 9. Catholic did not play up to their potential this year. That team had some very good players but I really don't like 2 qb systems...

E&H at Shenandoah wasn't quite as interesting as I thought, but at least I had the right team. Interesting week in the ODAC and the upshot is, HSC controls their own destiny. Oddly enough, RMC now does as well and they can give a shout out to Catholic if they win next week.

All that work on the tiebreakers? Useless... All eyes on deck for THE GAME. What is going to be the attendance in Ashland?
