Ok lets get to the serious subject here.. does an impending Kid marriage = less time spent on bridgewaterfooball.com and D3?!?!?   :'(

Congrats Kid and soon to be Mrs. Kid.

Ironically, I informed Lauren of my current "ranking" in posts and time spent on PP this past week.

When I told her I had the 7th most posts (2230) in the country, to go only with the 8th most time spent (4 days, 15 hours), she said in a very concerned tone "Matt, you have a problem."  No joke.  She followed that statement up with something like "why would you tell me that ... it scares me."  But then a couple days later she said "yes," so I guess my 'problem' is treatable :)

BridgewaterFootball.com will not suffer ... she's a huge fan and supporter of it.  Like I said last week, she went to the BC JV game with me up at Shenandoah, knowing I was going to walk the sidelines to record stats (which btw I made a box score of ... click here).  I mean that's love (and insanity on my part)!

Lastly, someone just pointed this out (and I'm not kidding when I say this...) I had no idea I was wearing the shirt I was the day after I asked the big question.  See for yourself.  A shirt that I ordered online which had to be shipped over 3000+ miles.

I'm starting to think my problem isn't treatable.  :o

Kid,
That problem may not be treatable but like some other viral infections that are not cureable there has to be some sort of cream you could apply for flair ups.. you know July throught January.  ;D :D

This poll was an idea of someone else ... and I got some help with the best stereotypes to choose prior to posting it.  Most of these are dead on  :D

Now that you picked the fairly easy games, how bout some real match-ups:

UW-Lacrosse  vs. UW-Whitewater
North Central  vs. Carthage
UW-Stout vs. UW- Eau Claire
[...]

UW-WW and N. Central win by 3 TDs ... the Stout/Eau Claire game I have NO idea ... I think a flipped coin would land on it's side for that one.

Congrats Kid and soon to be Mrs. Kid.

And of course, you all know what's next, right?

Little Kid!!!!
Been wrong before.  Will be wrong again.

Wow, that JV game looked like a good one to miss. Ground chuck aye! ;D

As for your posting habits Kid:

1) It only gets better if you are starting out with her knowing your sports habit and even sharing it with you.

2) As time passes if she is like Mrs. Llama she will actually look forward to Football season. In her words, "Its the most wonderful time of the year...." "No husband to harrass me on Friday night thru Sunday morning for almost 3 months, now thats just plain awesome!"  ;)

After reading Kid's analysis re: EH v. RMC I can easily see that the Jackets aren't feeling the love this week.  I thought the Jackets played a pretty good first half against the Generals until the wheels suddenly came off right before halftime and even at that we were on the W&L 2 yd line when time expired in the 1st half.  I know this is a very young team (over 1/2 the team frosh), but I think the Jackets are hungry for a win from a pride standpoint and the game is at RMC and as bad a 'tail whuppin' as the Jackets received from the Generals I still saw some positives in that game.  Happily, the defensive rotation was much better and the offensive line play looked pretty good at times.  We just got beat by a better team on quick strikes ... (that Martin is some kind of receiver with 3 catches for 109 yds and 1 of the TDs).  I don't know that much about E & H, but I still have faith that RMC will put together a good game and, hopefully, it will be this week.  I don't think either team will break 30 ... My guess:

Randolph-Macon 28 Emory & Henry 21

Homecoming @ H-SC this weekend vs. W&L...W&L loses big in this one folks.  I think these Tigers are still playing with a little fire under them from the Bridgewater game, something they'll probably have the rest of the year.  Probably just like I felt in '03 after losing to BW.  W&L dodged the bullet this past weekend--they'll have to dodge an atom bomb to win this one.  H-SC 52-17

After watching CUA/RMC, I saw that Macon had some decent talent, and were trying to use it the right way. I haven't seen EHC yet, but something tells me they won't be right until Monty has his guys in place. The players from the final Wacker years won't be the ones to win for him. I'll take Macon this weekend.
And I also don't think that HSC will blow out W&L. W&L should be the second best team that HSC has played, and after seeing them this weekend, I think the Generals will do alright offensively. W&L always has a solid defense, so I expect this game to be close, although it could go to either team.

Who won tonight? Sorry, the only relevance to the ODAC is that many of these kids will be playing d3 ball soon.
