Anyone see the Roanoke Times article on W and L's Greg Tweardy and Jack Martin (2nd in DIII in yds/game)? Getting a lot more press, but it'll be interesting to see if the General's can keep up in what could turn into a high scoring affair. I'd say the over/under is probably somewhere around 70.
Going to go ahead and call the score at 41-34 Generals, with Colton Ward breaking out for a score or two as the HSC defense pays more attention to Martin. Still, Martin gets his standard 2 TD's, but so does the Tiger's Drew Smith.
As for Llama's songwriting attempt, I knew there had to be a reason SportsCenter continues using that horribly annoying song for it's highlights every Monday. It's normally the time everyone I know either changes the channel or firmly presses the Mute button, but I guess I'm glad to know someone is listening to it.

Jumping ahead a bit, but on this board, I reckon that's ok.

Every year we talk about this in some conference, usually the CC, but I forget the ODAC rules.  What happens if HSC beats W&L and wins out in the ODAC, W&L beats BC and wins out, and BC wins out after W&L?  Who gets the automatic playoff bid?

e h dad

You BC guys have all the right to talk SMACK!! If Iwere in their shoes I would be doing the very same thing. So beware when E&H gets back on the road again watch out for the E&H DAD! The old saying "Put up or Shut up " comes to mind. BC keeps putting up and has not had to shut up yet. Do I detect a little envy in a few people? BC guys be PROUD and keep up the great posts'. Skoaltrain where are you? Your step Pappy has been worrying about you! E&H 49 RMC 21 PEACE I am the E&H DAD P.S. I have all my teeth and I don' wear overalls!

I have a hard time understanding why you guys cry about this being the "BC board".  I mean, everyone has internet access and this is a discussion board.  So if you disagree with what we're posting just say so.  That's what this board is for.  But don't complain THAT we support our team (or that we bash yours...).  That's also what this board is for.

And there's nothing wrong with "critiquing" college-age atheletes.  I mean I watch ESPN gameday every week and those guys don't hesitate to point out weakness in teams or players (such as qb's or coaches who can't seem to win the big one).  So stop being so damn sensitive.  And if you are that sensitive, don't read the board.  I mean I was called an idiot on this board this week (if you can believe that  8)) and hell, I got over it.

So, in the true "Bridgewater matra" I'll leave you with this to chew on in Novemeber while we're in the playoffs (again) and you're not:

EVERYBODY SUCKS BUT US

Sincerely,

Miz (the #1 ashhole on this board)

JoePa at a newsconference this week (true story, I just watched it on Fox Sports):

"...it's a real honor to be playing a great team like Wisconson...........I mean Michigan.....this week."

That's awesome.

Per the silly JD bashing logic on this board, I guess Jason Lutz was a "choke" in 1998-99 when he led his Eagles to a 6-16 record. FYI...the surrounding cast does matter.

hurley

H-SC vs. E&H:
           487 yards passing
            -2 yds. (screens)
            52 yds. (shovel passes)
437 yds. (on every downfield pass imaginable)
H-SC hasn't been a "screen team" since 2002 (w/ Mac Russell).
               Get educated.

hurley

With apologies, no post-season for the 98-99 Eagles. Lutz's record 6-14.

If BC, H-SC, and W&L all finish 5-1, and there is a "triangle" of who beat who ... then the playoff bid goes to the school who has had the longest drought from the playoffs.

BC is obviously 2004 ... H-SC is 1977 ... W&L is never ... so the Generals would get the nod.

He beat Joe Lewis' ass...........

And qb'd the Eagles to the Stagg Bowl before he graduated.  I'm going out on a limb and saying Riccia won't match that feat.  .......so take the 6-14 and shove it.

The "educated" remark was intended for the inane posters who feel Ricca benefits (statistically-wise) from the screen pass. Nobody earns yards downfield like Ricca. It is impressive, though, that the BC faithful can recount the most previous ODAC champs (clearly an educated bunch).

Jeremybozz

It was high scoring as anticipated.

JHU wins the battle of the only unbeaten CC teams left. If JD Ricca wants to win a big game and perhaps go to the playoffs he will have a chance on Nov. 5 vs JHU's defense which allows about 5.5 points per game or so. JHU should be top 25 by that time.
