When you have kids staying in a Best Western you need to get your rear in gear and fix the situation. I know schools do it, but to me it's just poor planning and shines a bad light on your administration. Way more important to get these kind of reputation things fixed than athletic complexes. No one wants their student going home "bragging" about their school experience in the local motel instead of on campus....

Anyone heard from Hasa? I'd assume he was well clear of the flooding in the Carolinas but it's not like him not to post, even if it was a tough game. Hope all is well with him.

I've not heard a word from Hasa. I hope he is traveling and not posting as a result. Like you, I hope all is well. His Quakers better watch out for SU. Is E&H going to break away and win the odac, or will we have three or four teams bunched up winning by another tie breaker ?

jknezek

I'm thinking the tie break situation, but the ODAC is always hard to predict. I haven't seen anything from any of the teams that tells me one is head and shoulders above the rest. Pretty reasonable to assume everyone has a lapse at some point.

i'm thinking a one loss team wins it out right and at this point in the season i think E&H has the best shot at pulling that off.
Maybe the winner of the HSC vs. W&L game if the winner improves each week.

I don't see much in E&H that tells me they are significantly better than anyone else. I think the new coach caught some people off guard last year. We will see how it goes on the second time through the league. A lot also depends on how he stocked the cupboard. I didn't look into any transfers E&H may have picked up this year.

If WL wins this game they are in the driver's seat. Wins over both GC and HSC are going to be tough get for every team in ODAC. Since either HSC or GC is going to lose to the other, if WL wins then the loser of the HSC/GC games best hopes would be for a tie situation.  In other words this is a huge game.

I like the Tigers to win at home. I don't think WL's defense is as good as it appeared on Saurday. They played well and still could have easily lost to GC playing a backup QB. Pawloski is easily good for 10 more points. I am impressed with the offensive numbers put up by WL. I'm equally impressed thus far with HSC's defense. Both units have played well every game.

I have been watching HSC for 6 seasons. This defense reminds me of the 2010 and 2013 defenses. Granted WL beat HSC in 2010. It is very early in the season but this game already has a big time buzz around it. HSC doesn't lose those type games at home very often.

I'm going to continue to rag on RMC until someone steps up and tells us what's going on over there. I'm thinking of starting a Go Fund Me page to raise money for a new countdown clock to replace the "Days until we Beat HSC" clock they currently have. The new one will be the "Days Since We Last Won an ODAC championship". Right now it's now been 6 years, 10 months and 22 days and counting.  One last thing RMC is 6-9 in their last 15 games.

i get picking on rmc, their fans care about basketball and probably are not going to post until that season starts, but, the reality is rmc has kicked our butts recently, in fact it has been men vs. boys the way the have dominated. i really believe they don't mind going 1-9 as long as their lone victory is the last week of the season. don't wake up a sleeping dog, let this one sleep until nov. 15th !!!!!

If their fans don't come around then there's no reason to be concerned about waking the dog. They've started 3 QBs in 4 games and not a word that can I find in the news, on their website, or on social media. I'm sure Pedro has a a rule for message boards in his players and their parents conduct rule book. Probably buried in there in like Section 12 Rule 13-b subset 3.4. Their fans are not the ones lining up and kicking our butts !!!

See you on Saturday for what should be a really good football game, certainly the best game we"ll have at home this year.

Safe travels !!!

BC has a tough road starting Saturday.
EH away WL away HSC away with Guilford snuck in there at home. If they come through that without a loss that would be HUUUGE . Trump inflection. Who made this schedule👎

IMHO ... looks like a new indoor athletic arena center and any improvement of a shared baseball facility at Bridgeforth field just took a major hit as something else has moved in front as #1 priority.

QuoteSU Proposes On-Campus Dorms For 120 Students

The Winchester Star
WINCHESTER — Shenandoah University has commissioned plans to build five apartment-style dormitories on its campus that could accommodate up to 120 students.

The site plans show the three-story buildings clustered on land just southeast of the Aikens Athletic Center on the campus' eastern edge. Six, four-bedroom apartments would fill each of the buildings.

Ron Mislowsky, with Pennoni Engineering in Winchester, presented the plans Tuesday to the city's Planning Commission for a pre-application discussion.

Because university officials want one of the buildings ready for the start of the 2016 fall semester, and a second shortly after, Mislowsky hopes to have a city-issued land-disturbance permit in hand by November, he told the panel. The development would not require a rezoning application, he added.

I'd be shocked if any odac team comes through w/o a loss, but the BC schedule you point out is very difficult. HSC's is pretty bad as well, last 3 games vs. BC, GC, RMC, the last 2 on the road.

jknezek

As balanced as the ODAC is, or expected to be, everyone's schedule looks like a pile of nightmares. that's just the way it goes in the ODAC.

The schedule is tough for HSC. Tougher in my opinion for everyone else in the ODAC because they have to play HSC.  Except for the addition of SU in 13 this is the same home/away ODAC schedule HSC had in 07, 09, 11, and 13. They won the ODAC each of those years. I like their chances in 15 as well.  In fact 6 of their 8 ODAC championships have come in odd years.

HSC gets the others team's best shot every week. Our coaches expect it and our players like it that way. It keeps our team on edge. I cannot remember a HSC ODAC loss were the other teams fans didn't rush the field and/or their players not celebrate wildly.  Regardless where the coaches ranked teams at the beginning of the season make no mistake if you polled the ODAC players, fans and coaches as to which team they'd like to beat this year or any year the answer overwhelmingly would be HSC.
