cua passed for 728 yards

Ricca broke the school record with 488 yards passing

Jacobs had 240 yards passing as well

Bublavi broke all kinds of records with 380 something yards on 12 catches

Thanks you kid for the update. I was across the street giving my Navy neighbor hell. He thinks he knows everything about the water

Sounds like we got some D problems in the conference. If you got to score 35 + to win every week it is going to be tough in the show. Whomever gets there. (eh heh BC maybe).

Vogelbach sounds like a real QB at BC but they gave up the usual 50+ to BC. From what Kid said it sounds like a couple trach TD's than gave up

I have not seen an ODAC game this year so I cannot make a call on the bow ties VS the Eagles but Skoal usually calls it square so I got to go with a BC playoff team.  Bow Ties Beat HSC on the road. Tough act to follow whacking BC.

XBCdad makes a good point. Could be a little tougher to sweep it all

386 to be exact ... and three TDs.  That's nasty!!!

Had it not been for Bublavi's ODAC-record shattering performance (he had 133 more receiving yards than the previous record of 253 set back in 2000), I think this poll would have been more interesting.

I agree with the 'Kid"

Jack Martin for W&L has been amazing.  But Bublavi's line this past game?  Even the BC pro-Washington fans cannot deny the unbelievable day by the CUA receiver!!

Finally recovered from the Stone Station festivities!
Great day in the ODAC.

Congrats W&L on winning a big one. Jack Martin does sound like the real deal and I remember he had 7 or so catches for over 100yrs at BC last year. W&L always plays BC tough at home so it should be an even better game with ODAC title implications this year.

Abnrgr,
The Vogelbach kid is definitely going to be a good one and they do have some receivers. Definitely didn't look like the GC of old. W&L beware as the Quakers can score points now. Not that it has title bearring as a W&L loss next week would still leave a title game set for November 29th in Lexington. Just take care of bizniz!

Congrats to Catholic as well. Man is this conference pass heavy this year or what? BC is the only team with an established running game and everyone else seems to be run and shoot. The ODAC is getting better talent top to bottom, but needs to show that against outta conference opponents in 2006. ;)

Thats it for now.

5 teams that are capable of putting up 30 on any saturaday?

Nice to see the ODAC be a more competitive conference. At least the 2nd place team isn't 10x better than the rest of the conference like in the past few years.

Maybe BC is too tough for the other teams, maybe not. I guess we'll find out. What we do know is that 3rd place might not be something to laugh at any longer. Would go a long way towards the ODAC getting respect. I don't think the conference has been 3 deep since 2000. Could be wrong since I missed a few years, but the last time I remember.

Randolph-Macon's Yellowjackets finally tasted the sweet nectar of victory yesterday in stinging the Emory & Henry Wasps 27-3 in a really hard-fought game.  RM-C scored first but missed the extra point (barely) and it was 6-0 for a while but then E & H came back and kicked a 46 yard (I think) FG to make it 6-3 into the fourth quarter.  RMC came back and scored to make it 13-3 but there was still time enough for E & H to come back and make it 13-10.  But two late turnovers (fumble recovery came deep in E & H territory and RM-C scored and the interception was run back for a TD) killed E & H's chances thus ensuring that RM-C would get its first victory of the season.  I have to give credit to the fighting spirit of Emory & Henry.  RM-C couldn't breathe easily until that interception return for a TD late in the game provided a comfortable margin too big for E & H to overcome.  It was a hard fought football game and although both teams seemed loaded with freshman and there was a lot of yellow flags being thrown, I think that in a year or two both of these teams will be much, much better than the two currently occupying the bottom rungs of the ODAC ladder.  I was really pleased the Jackets hung there and played tough for the entire game.  The coaches showed some imaginative play-calling on offense and kept fresh legs in on defense for most of the game and we finally came away with a win.  That's what I'm talking about ...
The offensive line and defensive line both played an outstanding game yesterday against a tough opponent.  I also thought the E & H lines played a good game.

I was a little miffed at RM-C's sports information department for crediting a linebacker with that fumble recovery late in the game when it was two defensive lineman that made the play -- #75 Thomas Rhone caused the fumble and #91 Nate Shook recovered the ball.  I have it on video tape and that linebacker isn't even in the picture.  C'mon sports information guys -- these players aren't playing for the big bucks or a scholarship, just the recognition of doing their job.  You sports information people (at all ODAC and other D-III schools) need to check your facts and get it right.  >:(

Sounds like BC had a good game.. congrats on the homecoming win.. and congrats to W&L for putting all of those HSC fans back in the closet.. at least they have their stats to fall back on this year!  ::)

As far as the W&L/BC match up.. all I can say is W&L better be careful around a scary GC team and BC better put RMC away early.. RMC hung around too long LAST year!  W&L good luck against GC.. you're going to need it!

Well, I can tell you that that's a luxury that most sports information types don't have. Rather than bash them on the message board, how about an e-mail?

One word for your day...

Loser.

You figure it out how to apply it.

Now...if you don't think that some of those 219 yards set up touchdowns, keep thinking it...and your word for the day:

LOSER.

3 completions for 16, 16, and 29 yards on a drive leading to a field goal.

1 completion for 11 yards on a second drive leading to a field goal.

1 completion for 13 yards on a third drive leading to a field goal.

1 completion for 34 yards on a fourth drive leading to a touchdown.

1 completion for 14 yards on a fifth drive leading to a touchdown.

2 completions for 14 and 29 yards on a sixth drive leading to a touchdown.

1 completion for 14 yards on a seventh drive leading to a touchdown.

So...let's recap for those who may be slower.  10 of Martin's catches came on each of W&L's scoring drives...there wasn't a scoring drive where they didn't have at least one completion to Martin.

Loser.

Loser?  :D

My teams 3 conference championships say differently. I asked a simple question, nothing more. Yes, the kid had a great game. My point, which I thought was clear, is that W&L will need to do more than score field goals to beat B.C.
So lets put this in terms that people understand 6 points is more than 3 points. 6 points will demoralize a team and put a team away.

tack87

Oops I meant 4 conference championships.

Or 5 depending how you look at it.. loser is a harsh term for a moderator to use!  ;) :D  What did you do to Pat?!?!
