Well, i have been laying low for awhile, but im back. Just wanted to say thanks to Stone Station crew for pouring some beer on the ground for me last week.   :o  I'll be back out there to have one some day.

Amused- I would say that Guilford's QB likes to throw on the run, and they like to get him out of the pocket.  But he isnt necessarily the best at doing that.  He made some good throws while moving, but also a few ducks and passes off the mark. He is pretty good in the pocket at stepping up and has a decent arm.  He also has alot of freedom from the coaches for being a redshirt freshman.  He calls plays at the line alot of times (which , just from standing on the sidelines all game, I started to know what play was coming on some plays...so im guessing maybe some of BC's players might have picked up on that too)  As for the rest of the team...their running game isnt there and their recievers are decent as a group.  Their defense was definitely breakable.  They are young I think, so they will get better.

Thank goodness that all these "discussions" about team performance are ultimately settled between the lines. As to deciding who is the best player ... gee. I dunno ... was it Ted Williams or Joe DiMaggio? ... there is a wealth of spectacular talent in the ODAC this season ... shouldn't we all just sit back and enjoy their gifts and the spectacular manner in which they share them with us? ... after all, might it not be possible that the "best" player in the conference is some right tackle we've never heard of?

this board is getting boring!

Seems to always get that way post-BC/HSC game.

Doesn't help that before the season began, there were a couple Wasps on here.  They're gone now.  Prior to the BC/HSC game, there were a handful of Tigers on here.  They're gone now.  Since W&L's 5-1 start, they're up-and-at-em on here.  If they beat BC, more will come and remain the rest of the season.  If BC wins, they will go away too.  And us BC fans have nearly talked about everything under the sun on here with one another.

But I expect we've just begun the BC/W&L talk.  Things will heat up after this weekend.

I don't undrestand why all the HSC fans have left this board.

I mean, 3rd place in the ODAC should still garner a playoff bid shouldn't it?   ;D

Maybe they're just being quiet and getting psyched up for Catholic ;)

i still believe the best Qb that BC faced this year was the hanover Qb because he was super accurate and had superior arm power. the Guilford QB is okay but he isn't on the level of the Hanover QB..... 8)

Does anyone know what happen to the T. Woods of last year because he was one of the best QB's in the league last year.. Maybe it's the offense coordinator or something but someone help me understand....

Thanks

Some of the WL- GC watchers seem to intimate there is some life in Greensboro. I know for a fact that they got coaches (adults this time) and a real QB.  from about 2000 until this year they had patched together QB's from (mostly) 1A high schools who did alright in the 1st round of the state playoffs. But the 1A state playoffs is a little different from college.  They were pummeled. It was sad. Hell GC had McKinney, a real All American wide out. he used to take a beating over the middle. Great leader too.

Voglebach is a real QB with some credentials. Barnett (WR) was 6'5' 2 years ago and might be over that. That is a traget to be sure. How they protect Vogelbach is beyond me. One intangible that even I  have not given this year they seem to not give up when they go down. That was a given a year ago. Could be the staff.

GC will give up some points again this week. We will find out what their (Bow Ties) D has for sure. I cannot believe I am saying this but GC seems to have some flippen pride in themselves as men finally.

Also why is this league so pass happy this year... it suck for interior players to produce stats because every two to three steps the ball is out of the QB's hand. I can remember the old run the ball down your throat and stop it if you can offense.

By the end of the year, every starting safety in this conference will lead their teams in tackles if not already because it is only one team that runs the ball consistently....

Games are starting to be so long these days!!!!!!

teams need to recruit some Chris Millers - E&H, C.W. Clemmons, Marcus Wahington's.

Nice article on Marcus. It's good to see that the DNR folks recognize Pat and D3ftbl.com as the authority on DIII football.
