So, you do care about The Game?  I bet you have your own clock!   :D

I do it's a "Since RMC last won an ODAC" clock - 7 years, 11 months, 20 days and counting.
Touche, even gave me a chuckle.  Thanks

Unless a miracle finish at BC my clock stops today.
Not really, if my math is right.  If WLU (or SU) and EHC win next week and RMC loses, do we not have a three way tie?

You're right!  There's hope!  My clock is still ticking.

Pretty sure the three way tie breaker is point deferential. Which means in the case of a three way tie with WL, WL wins ODAC by having a plus 6 RMC plus 1, and EH -7. If there's a three way tie with SU then it's EH. EH plus 4, RMC plus 2, and SU -2.

That was my quick math. Might want to double check.

I'm not smart enough to figure out the three-way tiebreak, but if RMC wins or EHC loses, then RMC is in.

Yes, three teams would be 4-2. Would the tie breaker favor E&H since they have a win over R-MC or would it favor R-MC since E&H lost to two teams R-MC beat while R-MC would have lost to one team (H-SC) that E&H defeated?

Shout out to the R-MC coaching staff for changing QBs in the 2nd quarter. It worked.

Burke Estes is a huge talent and was a huge recruiting pickup for RMC.  Thought he'd be in the mix, but not this soon. especially given there are two Soph. starting QBs on the roster.

Pretty sure in a three way tie they only consider the three tied teams and point differential.

So if E&H beats Guilford next week R-MC must win vs H-SC or they are out, right?

As I understand the tie-breaker RMC cannot win the ODAC in a 3-way tie for first.  I could be wrong.

Tie-breaking procedures defined here:
http://static.psbin.com/i/4/686mtolft20c9x/tie-breaking-procedures-manual.pdf

The points differential tiebreaker only applies to the tied teams.

Scenarios as best I can figure:
RMC beats HSC - they win ODAC outright

If RMC AND E&H lose, RMC wins tiebreaker against both W&L or Shenandoah (RMC beat them both head to head)

If RMC loses AND E&H wins, is 3 way tie with W&L or Shenandoah (whichever one wins their game)
Each will be 1:1 against the other two

Current net points for each team:
    RMC: +8 W&L, +5 Shen, -7 E&H
If Shen wins over W&L, total net points = -2
If W&L wins over Shen, then total net points = +13
    E&H: +7 RMC, -3, Shen, -26 W&L
If Shen wins over W&L, total net points = +4
If W&L wins over Shen, total net points = -19
    W&L: -8 RMC, +26 E&H, ? Shen
Has 18 net points already, so will win tiebreaker over RMC (+13) and E&H (-19)
    Shen: -5 RMC, +3 E&H, ? W&L
Has -2 net points now, so has to beat W&L by 7 or more points to win tiebreaker (with net total 5), otherwise
E&H wins tiebreaker with +4 net points

But then again, my math could be all wrong.

^^^ +1K for the effort, right or wrong. Thanks.

And the ODAC gets wacky again.  Yesterday's results are baffling to say the least.

I think that you've done a great job with this, hoopstermom!  Only one thing:  Is the math wrong in this part?

Current net points for each team:
    RMC: +8 W&L, +5 Shen, -7 E&H
If Shen wins over W&L, total net points = -2
If W&L wins over Shen, then total net points = +13

Looks to me that, if W&L wins over Shen, then total net points = +1 (not +13)

This is how I see it:

Current net points for each team:
    RMC: +8 W&L, +5 Shen, -7 E&H
If Shen wins over W&L, total net points = -2
If W&L wins over Shen, then total net points = +1
    E&H: +7 RMC, -3, Shen, -26 W&L
If Shen wins over W&L, total net points = +4
If W&L wins over Shen, total net points = -19
    W&L: -8 RMC, +26 E&H
           Has 18 net points, so W&L would win a 3-way tiebreaker over RMC (+1) and E&H (-19)
    Shen: -5 RMC, +3 E&H, ? W&L
Has -2 net points, so Emory and Henry (+4) would win a 3-way tiebreaker over Shen (2-) and RMC (-2)

Bottom line is that the only way that RMC loses the ODAC title this year is if they lose on the road to Hampden-Sydney while Emory and Henry defeats Guilford at home.

It HSC beats RMC and E&H beat GC, then W&L would win the ODAC if the Generals beat Shenandoah, or Emory & Henry would win the ODAC if Shenandoah beats W&L.
