i have to find it interesting that our beloved kmac doesn't vote bridgewater in his top 25 (as evidenced in his around the nation "unranked teams to consider")... i just wonder his reasoning since this may be the best our offense has been clicking since 2001. the defense may not be as good as they've been recently, but they did contain the nation's "top offense" (at the time) in hampden-sydney...

also, great story on the brothers ricca. this has got to be exciting for them w/ all the family coming in for this game. i remember i had a bunch of family (pittsburghers) down for our homecoming game my senior year... i hope they fair better than i did. i left the game on crutches and then missed the next 3 (knock on wood boys; don't want to jinx you). good luck to everyone this weekend; travel and play safe and injury free.

and go iggles

Your "found his place in the world" comment can't be taken any way but negatively. I wasn't surprised you said it, but once I found out who you are and the position you hold at R-MC, I was shocked you would say that.

Eh, it's not that bad Kid, especially when you include the rest of the sentence:
"Yes he is an outstanding coach who has found his place in the world. "

I'd say Clark has found his place too.  Maybe he'll try elsewhere at another division later, but he's shown he can be successful at building a program at this level as a head coach.  Thus, found his place.  Like Bill Gates has found his place, or Pat Coleman or anyone that's built something from scratch.  There's a non-negative interpretation for yah ;)

Gimme a break.  You know he meant;

"Coach Clark isn't/wasn't good enough to be a Division I coach, so saying kids will play for a former DI coach is a stretch."

It's cool though :).  Mr. Witt has been at R-MC for three years, with the Jackets going 8-18.  Before that, he worked at Mary Baldwin, Radford, and VCU, where those schools went 0-0 on the gridiron.  He hasn't really been around a football winner during his professional career.

For those Boone's Farm fans, I already preordered 78 melon balls and 44 apple blossoms for the Bridgewater game in Lexington for some friends and I. East Lex Grocery on the way into town coming from the North. See you there.

Forma,
You are alright in my book! Melon Ball is "The Chit!"  ;)

Kid, maybe he can get us a better tailgate situation at RMC next year, fortunately a Hanover Sherriff ( a BC grad, Soc major ) came by and kept Barney ( RMC PD ) from embarrassing himself last year.

We are lightweight Boone's Farm conesurers (sp?) in this neck of the woods. :P

but at least this time you were aware that the correction was coming...

Thanks Tim. I'm just to lazy to look up the spelling of things for a sports message board. ;)  Gotta give me credit for using the word in the right context though. ;D

Is Tim's last name Webster.....or is his middle name Merriam?

Hey, I am just lookin forward to Tailgating with BC folks this year. BC has started to travel well and always brings wonderful folks down to the EHC tailgate field to have brats and beverages with. Our tailgating scene has been down the past couple of years and I have a feeling that we are going to have a break out pregame, 1st, 2nd, halftime, 3rd, 4th and 5th quarters this year.

Not a single post this week from an E&H poster. I know EHdad is still out there though. Its just weird not having this as a rivalry game. Remember, Coach Clark had to go though the 0-10 deal and look where BC is now. I know Monty will turn it around, it just takes time. ;)

As long as BC takes care of business it will again be Championship week in the ODAC next week. Can't wait for this board to light up again. I see it is supposed to be sunny in Lexington next week, now just pray for 80 degree weather so we get to see all of those sundresses like in 2003! ;D

Llama- I have been in DC with FEMA and the board sounds like the movie Tombstone. "are we cross Ed Bailey" I have never seen names of people being talked about be hammered so hard. It usually refers to "the coach" or the lineman. I am not saying you of course.

Anyway if Volbach throws 4 TDs again the bow ties may get upset. I'm changing my story from +6 WL to GC +1 for or a 30 point loss. No in between

If any of you younger men need dates you need to come to DC. There must 2-1 women to men. If Skoal did not have 20 kids he would score here.  ;)
