Unlikely W&L would have an immediate return game. 2019 ODAC teams will only have 2 OOC games. W&L has a home and home with Dickinson starting this year. Sewanee is a 50+ year tradition with only a year or two missing.

I wonder how many of those 2 OOC spots Apprentice will take up in 2019?

I'm guessing not many. It shouldn't be that hard to get 2 DIII OOC games.

You are likely correct about this. With 7 games listed on D3football.com, the only conference games that can be switched are Bridgewater and Guilford. I have no confirmation on Maryville, so your information is all I've got there, but that is the most likely spot for the final OOC.

And it is nice to have another W&L poster. I carried that torch basically alone for a long while. It's nice to see a few more joining in.

Even if WL makes exceptions to their stated deadline most kids with the academic fire power it takes to go to WL are already knee deep in the admissions process with other schools.

Sure. But they would have applied to W&L before Coach Abell left. So they are in the pipeline. The trick will be for the new coach, when he is named, to get them to enroll. I don't know very many kids that only apply to one school, so it comes down to a choice in March/April when acceptances go out and are due. The coach needs to have a running start at that period. So clutch time is definitely starting.
