The HSC roster now has 19 freshmen, up by 4.  Two soccer players transferred over to football, one from the swim team, and one from the Math club.  As a Math major myself, I'm very encouraged by this bold move by the HSC coaching staff.

Does anyone know when the 'virtual' media day is scheduled?  Seems to me that it normally has happened by now.

It is odd. The ODAC site lists basketball media days in Oct but no other media days.

Eagerly awaiting to get Kickoff 2019 at noon.  I encourage others to purchase and even add a few bucks to support D3football.com.

The ODAC administration is probably too busy dealing with logistics of the Neptune Bowl.

11/18/2018 Wally referred to me as Chief and admitted "I don't know about that!"

Considering how big a favor this basically is for NNA, I'd figure they'd just leave all the details with the Builders and move on. This is such a pale imitation of what other conferences are doing well I have hard time not cringing when I see it mentioned.

Touche'.  I think the Neptune Bowl debacle is something we all agree upon.  I've never been more disappointed in the ODAC leadership.

What's the agreement entail?  What's the selection criteria?  Can an ODAC team refuse to participate? Can we just agree now that Southern Virginia can play the Neptune Bowl?

Unknown. The official press release just said "a highly ranked ODAC team". It didn't specify the second place team or anything else, including whose rankings. Anyone remember the last time the ODAC had 2 teams ranked in the D3 poll or coach's poll? I can't. I remember a ranked and receiving votes, but 2 ranked is extremely rare. So I'm assuming ranking just refers to where the teams are finishing in the conference or maybe the Regional Rankings, but even then it's been rare for 2 ODAC teams to make the list at the end of the season.

Not sure how anyone thought this was a good idea for the ODAC.  Would love to hear an honest opinion from the HCs.  Even better, would like to hear from ODAC home office, transparency would go a long way in this discussion.  Let's just hope the Neptune Bowl is short lived.

Just read the ODAC preview in Kickoff '19, great job by the D3football staff.

I'm sure it's something like this -- not the champ, obviously, because the champ moves on. And you could write it as the second-place team, but what if that's HSC or RMC? They probably don't want to participate because it can't be a better end to the season than The Game. (Similar thing happens with Ithaca/Cortland.)

Is odd nothing from the ODAC about football yet. Preseason poll normally comes out early August. Nothing yet and they've already started posting preseason polls for the other fall sports. Maybe they are holding it all off to lead into opening week?

Same thing from the USA South. I've seen volleyball and soccer preseason polls this week but no football yet. Odd.

I raised this question a week ago, and now a week later, it's even more bizarre.  Maybe, as someone suggested, they're busy with the 'world renowned' Neptune Bowl.

If I remember right last year was the first year they went to a "virtual media day" and I believe it happened much later than we had previously seen the physical days. I expect there will be something this week.
