Initial thoughts:  No surprise at #1, big target on RMC's back.  Solid pick for #2, also given Coach Arruza gave BC his #1 vote.  #3-#6 is tightly packed and rightfully so, but I think FC should have the #3.  SU loses their outstanding QB and poll reflects that.  Hasa, what's happening at the non-OD (AC) school?  SVU is obviously no surprise, but I'd not be surprised if they were to trip up at least one ODAC team.

Coach Arruza had to vote for someone other than RMC, so he obviously thinks BC will be his toughest matchup. With 64 votes, RMC gets the maximum votes available to them (everyone's #1 vote).  Likewise, SVU (at 8 votes)  got everyone's last place vote.

I think you are correct about Ferrum.  They are returning some solid pieces.  Patti is one of the best offensive lineman in the district, Mann is a beast of a RB and Clifford returns at QB.  They will get tested early with a very good Averett team on the 21st, and RMC on the 28th.  This is lining up to be a great season with some really talented teams in that upper tier.

Well, we are an ODAC school, if not an Old Dominion school.  I was born in VA and went to school there through 9th grade, does that count?  lol   We finished 3-9 last year, so hoping for better in 2019.  QB has a year under his belt, but not sure what else is promising, but I think we'll win more than one.

Well, we are an ODAC school, if not an Old Dominion school. Absolutely, being VA born and bred is more important than most anything else.  GC is always a challenge for RMC, so I never overlook GC.

I agree with the FC comments except I'd have them 2nd. They return the most slippery running back in the ODAC and they beat RMC last year. I'm excited to see HSC play Averett. I heard the defense caused turnovers in their scrimmage against NAIA Bluefield and they return 10 starters on offense. HSC plays Averett and CNU first two games. We should have a feel as to how good they can be based on their performance in those games.

I won't believe it until I see it but I also heard HSC is committed to running the ball more this year than they have the last few.

That's a much different take than suggesting QB play will not be good. 3 of last 4 years HSC QB was all conference. They may not win a game but even recent history suggests that the QB performance will be very good.
