Really enjoyed Keith's interview of Coach Arruza on the D3podcast.  But, wasn't Keith the only Quick Hits picker to select Ithaca over RMC?

This might have been a pick tempered by caution at being too enthusiastic for his alma mater.

Congrats RMC. Keep it going for Region 3.

We were very lucky to eke out a win today but so proud of our kids and so happy for Coach Arruza!! He does things the RIGHT WAY and is an example for our kids! When they came back in the 3rd qtr I thought we might be done but we stayed tough!! Gotta hand it to JHU!!  Their QB and OL played very well and kept their passing game going. It was a classic " who has the ball last" kind of game.....luckily for us we had it last!! GO JACKETS!!!!

^^^ The Jackets showed great character and composure throughout the game. Hopkins definitely made adjustments and played harder and better in the second half, but RMC adjusted as well. The Jackets only trailed twice -- 3-0 and 22-21. Mitchell Johnson's two long TD runs were the difference in my opinion. Only being flagged twice was also critical to the win. Congrats on a great win!

Yes we are SO LUCKY to have Pedro Arruza as our " fearless leader".... He also builds men of character and recruits kids who fit into our system and he doesent cut corners ! That makes for a program, WIN OR LOSE, that we can all be proud of!! I think we will host next weekend..... let's PACK THE COTU!! GO JACKETS!!!

I hate to toot my own horn but I called it! Here's my post from the ASC boards from before the playoffs:

"I'm a UMHB fan but I am also a D3 football fan & I am still very much looking forward to this year's tournament.

Last year I made odds and lines for every game starting with the round of 32, I'll do that again this year. Seems to be good fun and is usually a good conversation starter.

I've scanned over the playoff field pretty good this year and have watched some archived games. My most underrated team/dark horse has to be Randolph Macon.

Given the layout of the bracket this is a team that legitimately could make the semi-finals and potentially even give Mount Union a run for their money and end up in the Stagg. They have one of if not the best offensive line I've seen in Division 3 this season and a very stout defense lead by their defensive front and athletic secondary (typically a good recipe for success). My only concern is that they haven't had to show a ton of balance this season offensively since they have mopped everyone on their schedule. They will need to have a balanced attack to hang with a team like Mount.

Lots of teams emerging last couple of years making deep playoff runs and Randolph Macon are my pick to be that team this season."

Glad to see it come to fruition! Also was happy to see the Randolph Macon show that balance that I was looking for. Rooting for ya'll all the way!

Congratulations, great job by the Jackets today. Good luck next week against Cortland; keep repping for the ODAC.

My kids and I are making the trip to the Stagg Bowl despite the fact that our team is not going to be there. In trying to get tickets, the NCAA website only has info from previous years. Can anyone direct me to the correct location to obtain tickets?

It's GA, get there early to pick out good seats ($15.00 + $5.90/ticket plus a $2.95 service charge per Ticketmaster order).  Tickets at the gate are $17.50.

You love to see it!  I hope to see a lot of people, affiliated with the participants or not, at the game!

For some reason this shocks me, but doesn't surprise me. My brain gets it but my heart doesn't understand that you can get college championship tickets for $15.  These guys deserve to play in front of thousands of fans when they get to this point, I won't be there, but I will be watching on ESPN.

when we were at the basketball Final Four in Fort Wayne two years ago when we won it my friends and I noticed how few fans there were that were attending and we even thought it would be good to offer kids 18 and under free tickets to come watch - at least they'd get the revenue for the concessions etc. it really is a shame they they aren't better attended.

That would have been a different scene had Wabash advanced to the final, but Elmhurst didn't get the memo!  :)

That was my first basketball final four and it was awesome, even though my alma mater got knocked out and really all three games were lopsided.  Still- championships are cool and people should go watch championships when they can.  Whether you get to witness a team like RMC dominate the best in the division or you get something like CNU's coast to coast game winning buzzer beater, you're going to see something special.

Well I'm late getting on here to do this, but to be fair I was tied up with W&L's run to the men's soccer Final Four, I want to congratulate the YellowJackets and wish them well this weekend. They are in the midst of an excellent run and I hope it continues first to the Stagg and then all the way to the Walnut and Bronze! Best of luck YellowJackets!
