ARGH

Very tough loss for the Generals in a game that they controlled.  Just too many opportunities wasted.

Hats off to Bridgewater, especially their special teams.  That was the only battle that W&L didn't win today.

Great game to watch.  I think 'kid' might still be holding his breath!

E&H overcame a 21- 10 deficit to WIN! I listened to the game over the CUA website and have to agree with their announcers, when they said E&H showed alot of "character and heart today"! Peace I am one Happy E&H Dad

Congratulations on a great game.  The ODAC is definitely more competitive this year.  Now, let's hope BC wins out and makes some noise in the playoffs to prove the reason is because the "others' are getting stronger, not because BC is getting weaker.

I'll bet the D3 voters think we are weaker and drop BC out of the Top 20.

Anyway, congrats to a strong W & L team (along with Guilford, HSC and E & H) for giving BC a tough game.
GO BC!

So much for the momentum of beating Mount Union.

Since #17 Salisbury lost 63-19 to Wesley they will fall below BC. Ohio Northern will be very close to BC in the rankings with the loss today.

Was able to catch the last 20 minutes of the game and post game. Both the announcers and Clark were very complimentary of the W&L team and effort. I believe W&L won the game of offensive stats. Unfortunately New Era's bad week at the office continued as his Cheeks crew let him down with 3 blocked kicks.

KUDOs to the D. I'm feeling better about heading toward the playoffs coming off a very competetive game won by the Defense. Maybe next week both offense and Defense have a big day.

WOW!!!  Awesome game.  Thats how football in the ODAC should be played.  Great game by W&L!!!  They played hard and great for 60 minutes.  The crazy thing was that Bridgewater played their worst game of the year and still beat a great team.  Special teams might have helped us in the end but it threatened to hurt us at the beginning.  Without HUGE defenseive stops by the Eagles at the beginning of the game, it would have been out of reach.  The blocked extra point was huge because it kept momentum away from the home team and the blocked field goal was huge because it added momentum to BC.  And the blocked punt is self explanatory.  BC just knows how to win.  Im not ashamed to say we were out played today by the Generals.  But winners know how to win in the end...and thats what is most important.  Thank you to the BC fans today.  We really came up big with the ball right in front of us on the 20-10 yard line when we needed to be loud.  That was great.  Lets do it in the playoffs and make a long run.

Go Eagles!!!  A very "satisfying" win today.  And congrats Guilford on another win.  Vogelbach will be fun to watch.

What a joy it was to experience today's classic between Bridgewater and W&L. Anyone who saw the game held their breath for nearly three hours. As an earlier poster noted, W&L clearly battled the Eagles on even terms, but the Eagles, with a courageous effort keyed by their special teams and unyielding goal line defense, proved to have the heart of a champion and eked out the win. This was a afternoon where two "teams" left a lasting impression. I honestly don't believe that any "individuals" particularly proved anything, but that's the way it should be when all involved are winners. The fans were great on both sides; the tension on the field was palpable; the day was drop-dead gorgeous, and all of us who were privileged to attend will forever share a memory of a very special Saturday afternoon.

3 blocked kicks. I wonder what the school record is/was.

Hey New_Era- congrats on your great "moral victory" today.

It will be great conversation around the Thanksgiving dinner table (since you won't be in the playoffs).  LOL

Good "character win" today by the Eagles.  That's what we do....we win.  Period.

I was told by a very informative person..cough cough, a BC coach that since Bridgewater won and Catholic and Randolph-Macon lost that statistically mean the Bridgewater is the ODAC Champs. (Right kid)  ??? But the Eagles will not let down on Randolph Macon next saturday because the senoirs are trying to go undefeated in the ODAC for their careers. Plus they know how to win.

They said it was H-SC turn to win the ODAC, then they picked W&L, but Bridgewater proved why they are ODAC champs today.

Great atmosphere at W&L, if you wasn't there then you miss one hell of a game..
